He is 10 months and weighs 20lbs. I am using one of those 5-point convertible car seats and have him facing forwards. I know now that I need to turn him so that he is facing towards the rear but now someone told me that I am using the wrong car seat and need to use the one that has the padded arm that come down from over his head, so which do I use?

My daughter is 5 months old and has always spit up alot, but recently has been pretty good. This weekend though she was terrible with it. Her daycare has had a stomach bug going around. I was wondering if someone can help me tell the difference between vomiting and just spitting up? She has been drinking less formula then normal, but she is also teething. Last night she ran a temp of 101.5 I called the doctors call center and they told me that if the fever gets to 104 to bring her in, but for now to treat it with tylenol. This morning it was 100, but has since gone down to normal. She is not overheated, dressed comfortably. When she had the fevers a just put her in a onsie to try and cool her off. Any ideas as to what this might be and how I can tell if she is vomiting or just spitting up?

My peditrician has not given me any hassel about it and said that it was ok for me not to. She said that there are formulas out there that are also very good and benefical for the baby too. I do not think I am being selfish because if I am not going to be happy while breastfeeding then I know that my baby won't be happy. Do you think I am a bad parent because of this?

I do not need advice on how to produce more since the doctor and I have tried everything - apparently I am on of the rare percentage that just doesn't make much milk due to a prior surgery. He has been breast feeding then bottle feeding every feed per the pediatrician (until I returned to work, where I pump). I am contemplating giving up breast feeding as we are having to do both all the time. I feel like it is taking a lot from me and I am not giving him much of anything. I would like to continue breastfeeding as I love the closeness and bonding and I love feeling like I am providing (even though I am not). I know breast is best, but is it going to help him to continue if it is sooooo little? I am so saddened that I am not producing more as I would love to breast feed exclusively, so please don't harrass me on something I can't control.

She'll seem sleepy so i will lay her in her crib but then she gets angry and crys. This has only been happening for a week or less. Normally before this she would sleep easily now lately it seems like she is fighting to stay awake like she thinks she is missing out on stuff when she is sleeping...

I work at an office as a secretary but at the same time I babysit. My boss' wife had a baby five months ago but none of them can take care of it since the company just started and they are out a lot doing marketing.

Now my problem is, I have so many things to do and the baby just does not want to be put down. And when I hold him in front of me when I'm on my desk, he gets so fussy. Even after I just changed his diaper, fed him, and burped him, he's still very demanding of my attention. I plan to work at this office for a while and I really don't want him to get used to being spoiled. I want him to learn to play alone in his crib and not always wanting to be with me.

It's unbelievably stressful. And I have to do this five days a week. Sometimes I don't know what else to do that I just leave him in his crib and let him cry until he's tired.

What can I do so he can learn to stop screaming and stop being fussy?

How old was your baby when you started? Did he/she like it? Did you just start with the plain rice or did you use flavored (banana etc)? Our twins are 20 weeks old and we are gradually trying to start them with the cereal. So far they HATE it and cry the entire time. Any suggestions?

My baby is 3 weeks old & I really love the idea of breastfeeding just because it is so much better, etc. all the advantages! But I can't seem to pump much any longer an I am really unsure if she is getting enough even when I nurse her. Before I go talk to a consultant I figured I would ask on here before I go to the store. If I supplement with formula what in ur opinion is the best to use?? From Similac & Parent's Choice? Please let me know what you would use or used. And is it a good idea to go back an forth formula & breast milk??
