It varies but typically it occurs sometime between 3-5 months. My son started sleeping through the night at 4 months old and my daughter at 3 months. Also, through the night is generally considered a 6 hour stretch in the beginning, and will work it's way up to 8 or even 10 hours a night. Hope this helps!

Every child is different, My 8 yr old started to sleep all night at 3 months, my 6 month old is still waking up twice a night.

Every baby is different so when they start doing certain things such as sleeping through the night varies between babies. My boy started sleeping through the night around 5 months, then around 8-9 months he started waking again around 2am, he is now 12 months and sleeping through again.

I don't suggest you ever throw your baby... whether it is night or day.
