I'm curious about the best brands of formula that other mothers have found. I am not going to be able to breastfeed. I'm thinking about getting a couple of different brands to have on hand. I know that a lot will depend on my baby, but I would still like some advice.

What would happen if I were to have a baby son, but paint his room pink, pink or hot colored clothing, and at the time of playing age, things such a dolls or mirrors. Would this help my child acquaint with girls more than boys like todays gender sterotypes? Because most families give there specific genders either a doll or a truck, boys hang out with only boys, while girls only hang out with girls. Could this end this sterotypes and have a boy playing with the girls not udnerstanding that he isnt one of them, or any other child along these lines?

He will be a year old on Wednesday. He's been sick for a week now. I took him to the Dr the other day and they said it's just a common cold, runny nose, and cough, no fever or ear ache or sore throat. But he won't stop crying. He's constantly at least fussing if not screaming. It doesn't help to hold him, I've tried to give him food (in case hes hungry) but he doesn't want it, and he doesn't want his sippy cups either. (On, a side note, he is eating and drinking fine, its just that those don't help him to calm down)

I don't know what is wrong with him...he's NEVER been like this before...not even when he was an infant. What's wrong with him and what can I do?

I'm having a c-section next week. Will I need to take diapers, bottles, and formula in my hospital bag...or will the hospital provide everything I will need for the baby? Please advise.

My youngest daughter will be 10 weeks old tommorrow. She is still in the hospital, she weighed under 2 pounds when she was born. Doctors say she will be out in 2-4 weeks.

My older daughter is going to be 3 the first week in January. She was really excited to have a sister when she was first born, but now that she has been in the hospital this time and I have spent just about all of my time with her at the hospital my oldest has changed her mind totally. She did love going to see her sister now she wants nothing to do with her and she says she doesn't want her to come live with us ever because she hates her and wants it to just be the 2 of us again. She is a very smart almost 3 year old she knows all of her abc's, counts over 100, learning to read, spell you name it.

How do I bring the new baby into the picture without her having all of this hate? I even tried telling her once a week we could spend time together just the two of us at the park or something she still HATES the idea!

What were some unusual signs you saw before you tested + for being pregnant. How far along did you end up being? Twins?

My 4 month old daughter is teething. We're doing all the tricks and things friends and the doctor suggested and most of them work. Here's my question though. I know tugging on the tops of her ears, drooling, constant crying, and a fever are usually symptoms of teething. What about snoring and diarrhea? She hasn't had any fevers. She's breastfeeding so her poopy is usually runny but the past day or so it's been really watery. She's napping at the moment and lightly snoring...never heard it before today. What are other symptoms that you know of that I haven't listed so I'll be aware that's it's nothing to start freaking out about.

i was uncut the last few times me and my GF had sex and it was great for both of us. but then i had to get circumcised bc of an infection...balanitis...and she hasnt seen or know this yet. we are seeing each other again soon and i'm worried what she'll think. and shes been talking about doing stuff sexually...i just heard circ makes it less pleasurable for both men and woman, and it makes it hurt for the woman because the guy has to thrust harder...is this true? can any girls tell me how a circumcised penis felt to you? even better any girls experience both cut and uncut? what was the dfference? by the way i have a loose circumcision (partial foreskin removed, head is always exposed).

After birth, I bled for 2 wks. 2 wks later I started bleeding heavy w/ menstrual-like cramping. It's been 2 wks, & it seem like every day i'm bleeding just a little heavier than the day before. Is this really my period? Can a 1st postpartum period last this long?

My baby is 6 1/2 weeks old. We switched to Gentlease (from Enfamil Lipil with Iron) to help ease the gas. My baby has gas that often makes her have fits. (I use gas drops and Dr. Brown bottles both seem to slightly help.) We tried Gentlease for about 5 days. Things seemed to be getting better, but then got worse again. I feel like maybe I should have just stuck with is longer. I switched to soy though. We had some hard times with that too. Overall (now) things seemed to be about the same as they were with Gentlease (or maybe slightly worse as far as how much gas she has). I do notice that she spits up more with Prosobee (soy) and burps easier. The "fits" seemed to have reduced overall, but she still has the gas. I really feel that it wakes her up at night. She only sleeps 2 or 3 hours at a time and usually wakes up trying to fart. Should I stick with Prosobee or go back to Gentlease? (The ONE time that she slept for 5 1/2 hours at night was when she was on Gentlease??)

He is 7 weeks, can sit with help, can hold his head up majority of the time, and has a healthy appetite. He weighs 13.5 lbs already, and I feel that he might be able to start solids sooner than 4 months.

I'm a first time mom who's exclusively pumping and feeding my 6 week old son breastmilk, but thrice I've had wonky days where my milk production was slightly off, and I had to supplement with a powder formula. My son tends to be gassy, so I chose Enfamil's Gentlease Lipil.

It smells slightly worse than most formulas I've smelled previously, but mixes nicely and he seems to tolerate it just fine. I'm just curious if anyone had a better suggestion as to what formula is great for the occasional supplement bottle. I know that technically they're all the same because they're required to be, but everyone has their own life experiences to draw from.

Thanks! :)

She weighs 14 pounds, 10.5 ounces at 25 inches and 6.5 months. I still nurse her. We don't have problems with that. I also feed her baby veggies in these glasses. The only concern is she is so very active and playful and doesn't enjoy naps during the day. In the car yes lol.
The doctor says she is in the 20th percentile now, but healthy.

the other day she said that she would like to "hire me" for a few days. now, i am not sure if that means that she was going to pay me or not, but i babysit for her frequently, under different circumstances, and she always insists that i take pay. i work daily as well, and she doesn't know this yet, but i am taking off work for 3 days so i can be at her house all day.
i'm 17, and i have 7 pets, and my job helps me have money to take care of them. now, they won't starve to death if i take off work for that amount of time, but i'll be losing 3 days worth of pay.
what should i do?
