i was uncut the last few times me and my GF had sex and it was great for both of us. but then i had to get circumcised bc of an infection...balanitis...and she hasnt seen or know this yet. we are seeing each other again soon and i'm worried what she'll think. and shes been talking about doing stuff sexually...i just heard circ makes it less pleasurable for both men and woman, and it makes it hurt for the woman because the guy has to thrust harder...is this true? can any girls tell me how a circumcised penis felt to you? even better any girls experience both cut and uncut? what was the dfference? by the way i have a loose circumcision (partial foreskin removed, head is always exposed).

Wow... thanks for that answer, Amber H!
And I'm sure my balanitis was caused by poor hygiene, because I had it off and on for a few years and that's why my doctor just said I should get circumcised. But yeah, when I first got it years ago I wasn't even with my GF and never even had sex, so I know it's not from an STD.

Oh and I know she won't break up with me over this...I was just worried about if she didn't like it or didn't get as much pleasure.

I think that since you had to get it done for a medical reason, that's nothing to be ashamed of. It's great that you got it taken care of before the infection got too out of hand. With that being said, you should sit down and talk with her and tell her that you caught Balanitis, and as a result, you had to get circumcision.
However, based on what I read about the condition, I think you might want to be more worried about where the infection came from, not what's going to happen with your sex life. There's several different types of Balanitis, most of which are sexually transmitted, however this particular condition can also be caused by poor hygiene. Not saying your girl has any serious sexually transmitted disease, sometimes a simple yeast infection can cause this. (Yeast infections can be transferred to the guy during sex, but this does not make it a sexually transmitted disease)
With that being said, you need to sit down and talk with your girlfriend, in a non-sexual situation. Explain to her that you got Balanitis, and as a result the doctor had to circumcise you. Then, depending if it was caused by poor hygiene or not, you need to ask her if she's been tested for anything recently, or if she had a yeast infection or anything like that. I would also strongly encourage you to start using protection, because you only have a partial circumcision, and not a full circumcision. There might be a small chance the infection can come back because it's partial.
With that being said, I have no clue what it feels like to have sex with a circumcised male. I don't think it would make any real difference, because really, alot of women can't feel a huge difference.
I should mention that if your girlfriend decides to break up with you because you had to have a circumcision for a medical reason then she's not the type of person you'd want in your life. It's not like you woke up one morning and said to yourself "I think I want to have myself circumcised today!" This was done to save yourself from any further complications.

It does make a difference, especially with age, for both the man and woman. Read up on the function of the foreskin, and about foreskin restoral. (You can't restore the lost nerve endings, but you can restore the gliding action and create a situation where the penis can stay moist and soft, and the nerve endings that remain will be protected from desensitization.) It's great that they didn't remove the whole thing, you have more to work with than most men!
A good resource in general is the "Case Against Circumcision" forum at Mothering.com. Good luck!

Interesting that you had to have a circ because of ballanitis, which is similar to a yeast infection.
Women use medication for infections- yet the solution for men is circumcision.
Did your doctor discuss alternatives to circ?
I personally prefer intact, I've been with both. My bf is cut, and though he has to be "careful" (circed penises create more friction and cause microtears in the vaginal wall), I still enjoy sex with him...alot.
If you two care about each other, it shouldn't matter either way.

It does make a difference, but mostly for the male. Uncircumcised men have protection of the primary gland and nerve endings, and as a result are more sensitive than circumcised men. However, sex is still great either way!

I've had both cut and uncut and I personally didn't really feel the difference. I've heard that men lose more pleasure than their women do.

If anything, according to my father, having a circumcision lessens your pleasure. He recently got circumcised at age 70 because of issues going through cancer treatment for bladder cancer.
As far as women, it doesn't matter. So, the only one that will lose any satisfaction will be yourself, but I'm sure you'll adjust.

You poor guy! I have a friend that has been with circ and uncirc. she said there is really no difference that she can tell.
But be honest with your gf. she needs to know ahead of time what she's going to be seeing! it's not fair to surprise her with your circ!

I have been with both and I dont think there is a difference at all in how each feels ...on a womans end anyway.
I wouldn't worry about it. i would just tell her about it so she won't be "suprised".
