When she is on the floor she look directly at me and follows me, but when I hold her in my arms close to me, or when I hold her standing up, she won’t look directly at me. She will move her head the other direction and avoid looking me in the eye.
Have any of you experienced that with a baby. She is a very happy baby well developed otherwise. She also prefers being held facing the outside.

It appears there is no real way to determine the cause of the miscarriage. We have a 2 yo daughter which was her first pregnancy. However, her doctor said that it is most likely a chromosonal abnormaility where the body naturally (good reasons) rejected the fetus before it could continue. My wife is getting a D&C done is there any way to determine the exact cause. One other thing when she had gotten pregnate she had very bad itching all over her arms and body. She didn't come in contact with any plant or biological matter that could have cause this...

my daughter used to love bath time until one day she fell ( i was there and caught her right away) ever since she screams and cries when i try and give her a bath, she sits in a seat and tries to throw herself back- it is difficult to bathe her by myself, but my husband and my schedules and completely different, when we are home together, she is either napping or sleeping for the night ( i work days, he works nights), if i try the sink, she reaches for the faucet, (i dont want her to burn herself.) any ideas to make bathtime more bearable for her - she will be a year old next week. thanks.

The new formulas that are coming out seem to be very good. Their advertising suggest they are pretty close to mothers milk. How close are they exactly. Are they still far from mother's milk...

My hubby says it's "a whimpy name"... and would prefer something more masculine sounding. What do you, honestly, think of the name upon first hearing it? (And any suggestions for names that you might like more... please share!)

I have a six month old baby that started on solid food about 3-4 weeks ago. We did the regular transition from rice cereal (which he wouldn't touch) to oatmeal to veggies/fruits and now starting meats. I've been using the Gerber babyfood line. My son was exclusively breastfed up until we started foods and we're going to continue supplementing with breastmilk till at least a year old. Here's my question: He HATES baby food...especially the meats. I asked dr if he really needed them (I'm a vegetarian) and dr said yes. I fed him a mushed up meatball from a can of spaghettios the other day and he thought that was the greatest thing ever. Would it be terrible to puree spaghettios and stuff like that for him to eat? I'm at a loss and basically every meal is becoming such a battle that we end up with a little oatmeal and back on the breast. Thanks in advance!

My sister is having a baby and she likes to name them strong Irish names . I know baby names are a very common question but the Irish part makes it unique. Thank you!

DH and I cannot agree on a name for our baby girl. She is due Christmas Eve. I'd like to find an uncommon name that's cute - starting with either "K" or "M".

Does anyone know what baby formula has the most DHA & ARA in it? It's very important to me that my baby gets the best kind of formula. I was able to only nurse him until he was 4 months old and then somehow now I can't produce enough milk to do it all of the time. I do still nurse him at night and on the weekends but durring the day I want to make sure that he is getting the second best nutrients that I can give him. Thanks to all that answer.
