My 4 month old seems to be very uncomfortable. He's very fussy and rubs at his ears but the ped. says it's just teething. He won't take any kind of teething/chewy thing--cold, freezing, or room temp. Also, the gum numbing stuff doesn't really seem to make a diff, either.

I'm interested to hear what everyone has tried and what worked. I'm willing to try anything that won't make it worse!

i took baby to dr for sonstipation and she told me that he is that way because of the forumla he is on and that i need to dilute his formula with more water. is it actually safe to do that. I am on wic and they dont give no iron formula unless baby has a serious medical problem.

My 5 month old has been drinking Enfamil w/ iron since birth, I get his formula through the WIC program and when I went to get new vouchers yesterday they had changed to Nestle Good Start. Does anyone know the differences between these two formulas? I understand the state program going with a less expensive formula, I just thought that a baby was supposed to stay on the same formula from birth to milk unless there were digestive problems. Any Moms have any problems when changing formula brands? Do I mix them for awhile or just stop one and begin the other?

I am trying to figure out what kind of bottles to register for, I am due with my first child (a son) in January. I would like to breastfeed but also would like my husband to be able to share in feedings. Any experience with what is the smoothest transition bottle? Thanks!

my daughter is 4 1/2 months old...here latley she has been pooping hard...i don't really know how to explain it. she has to push and grunt to get it out and it often makes her butt bleed...iv'e tried apple juice, water, and sugar water, nothing seems to help. i've even given her laxitive drops but still nothing...anyone have any ideas to help her poop easier...she is on babyfood and cereal and just for those who will say something her dr. gave me the ok for cereal in milk at 2 months, b/c she cant keep it down, and he just gave me the ok for food about a week ago.

My second little one just turned 3 months and he has been drinking 6 oz in his bottle since he was 2 months. Prior to that he was drinking 5 oz and wanting to eat like every 2 hours. I upped it to 6 oz at 2 months per the doctor's advice and that worked for a bit. Now it seems he is again getting hungry at 2- 2 1/2 hours after his last feeding. I don't want to up his milk intake again because the doctor said he was gaining too much weight because he was eating too much too frequently. So, my question is: Is it okay to put about 1 tablespoon of cereal in a 6 oz bottle? Will it make a difference? Please let me know your experiences with this. Thanks!

My wife and I have selected our son's name and can't agree on how to spell it.

I like Graeme because it is a trditional Scottish spelling and is a little different. I think it has more character.

My wife likes Graham because people may get confused and butcher the pronunciation of Graeme.

Where we live there is a huge immigrant population, so teachers and kids are more sensitive to names now more than ever.

I am ready to admit defeat if our public says I should just shut up and listen to my wife.

I guesss I don't want to dumb down the name for those who don't want to take the time to pronounce it corectly.

What do you all think?

II want to put some rice cereal in my sons bottle at night to help him sleep but my only problem is I dont know how much. Im still using the 4 ounce bottle but I fill them to the top so its almost 5 I think. Ive tried just putting it in his bottle and it gets clogged. Ive tried just feeding it to him on a spoon but I cant monitor his intake since so much dribbles out. I tried to cut the end of the nipple but ended up making it to big and it just poured out. Help!

It looks identical to the mary meyer Lucy Lamb from her flip flops collection but instead of being 12" it is closer to 8" or 9". We ordered and received the full size lucy lamb and they are identical except lucy is bigger. My daughter loves this stuffed animal and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I tried contacting the company and they just bounced me to their retailer who said such a thing does not exsist. someone please help as when this thing finally gives out she will be heartbroken. Im willing to pay anything for this exact stuffed animal.
