I am trying to get my two month old to drink Breastmilk from the bottle. I have to go back to work in a couple days and she wont take it. I tried the Avent, the Soothie bottle. Nothing is working. She spits it out.

My son breastfed as well and never took the bottle. I tried everything. Try having dad feed the baby when really hungry, And don't give up after one try keep offering the bottle. Also try nursing for a brief time and when you go to switch sides give the bottle and make sure the temp. is the same as your milk. Good luck.

Both of these brands of bottles didn't work for my son either. Try the Playtex Nursers or the Dr. Brown Bottles. In my opinion the Dr. Brown Bottles are the best out of the two, but the Playtex Nursers are easier to clean. If you go with the Playtex Nursers get the laytex nipples is the baby doesn't have any allergies to latex. Make sure that you are using the right size nipples. For a 2 month old go with the number 1's.

First of all, buy some of those nipples that most resemble the human breast. Check the hole in the nipple to ensure that the milk is flowing freely; the most likely cause of baby refusing the bottle is that she has to suck too hard, due to a " too small opening". If the hole is large enough and baby still won"t suck, try dipping the nipple in a tiny amount of light corn syrup. Never , never use honey !!!! Honey contains a natural bacteria that can be deadly to babies under age 3 years. Hope this works! Dona G.

Throw out what the toddler would not consume. first of all, do no longer mixture it with water--use formula or breast milk. All you utilize is a pair of tablespoon of the rice cereal blended with the milk. There ought to be instructions on the field. Slowly upload the milk till the cereal turns into mushy--it is going to no longer be actual thick and lumpy or skinny an runny. If mandatory, upload a tiny bit or milk to skinny it out or a sprinkle of cereal to thicken it. placed the cereal in a field like a coffee cup which you would be able to honestly carry and use a baby spoon to feed the toddler. they might consume basically some spoonfuls or all of it. you ought to nevertheless provide the toddler the breast or bottle and make valuable he/she is burped nicely and has a dry diaper till now being placed right down to sleep. I used to flow one leg over the different to make a triangle and feed the toddler cereal that way so as that they nevertheless had some actual touch and ought to honestly swap to the bottle to end the feeding.

The playtex vent-aire bottle is good. I had a hard time getting my daughter to drink from a bottle too. I thought I wouldn't be able to go back to work. After all the crying, she will eventually take the bottle, she can't go on without eating forever. I know it hurts to see them cry but you have to teach her to take it. Goodluck with that.

Try using different bottle nipples until you find one she likes. Hold her close to your chest, like when you breastfeed, but give her the bottle instead.

She'll get hungry enough. Try having someone else feed her at the time. She'll take it from them before you.
