Teething tablets. They're all natural, and dissolve in their mouths. I only use Tylenol as a last resort, and only if he has a temperature. Most docs recommend holding off on the Motrin until 6months of age. My son also likes to chew on a washcloth, or a pacifier. He won't touch his teething ring at all. But the teething tablets work for him very well. Best of luck, it's SO hard going through teething!

My daughter was a hard teether. She loved ice though so since he doesn't like cold I suggest Hylands teething Tablets. They have no taste and melt right into his mouth. They seemed to work. Also I don't suggest Motrin. Tylenol has been proven to be the safest thing for children. Motrin can be hard on the kidneys. You could also try a warm cloth for him to chew on. My Mom use to swear by wetting a brown paper bag and heating it up. I don't suggest that-hehe. The old fashined remedies. Sometimes by rubbing his gums that can help too. I wish you the best. It can be miserable for them to get thru this. If you do choose to use Motrin cut the dose down and only use it to get him thru the night if he is really having a hard time sleeping.

I just went threw the same thing about 3 months ago. I love motrin for baby. Not to much, but a dose at night helps them to feel more comfy, and helps them sleep better too. Other than that I'd say patience! Oh, you could try a frozen washcloth. This seemed to help for a friend of mine.

They make a homeopathic teething tablet that works really well and its all natural. But it can sometimes make your baby sleepy so make sure you give it to him at a time that you dont mind him being tired. I would try that but you could also use baby tylenol. He may also like chewing on your finger or a wet washcloth if he is refusing a teething ring.

Get a bottle of whiskey or fruit flavored brandy
Rub a little on his gums Trust me it works I have a three month old little boy who has been teething for three weeks now My mother in law told me to do that and I put some on his gums at least three times a day either right before I give him his bottle or I have his pacifier handy

You may try Motrin, but with your doctors ok first. I was having the same problem. I finally gave in a got my son a Playtex Pacifier. This pacifier is made for teethers and my son just loves them. Hyland's Teething Tablets may help also.

interior the previous days, docs used to advise putting peppermint schnapps on their gums. i could stay sparkling of that at present. Get those teething issues that pass interior the freezer or provide the youngster an ice cube! There must be a teething ring he will like on the industry!

I would suggest tylonal every 4 hours and ibprofren every 6 hours. Baby orajel is good. If nothing else works then put some whisky on his gums.

Dip your finger in whiskey or dark rum and rub his gums with it. It won't get him drunk or anything it's not going to hurt him at all. My great-grandmother did it for my grandma she did it for my mom and so on. Try it on your own gums and see how it feels then you'll understand. I know as an adult I couldn't get to the dentist fast enough for a broken tooth. I dipped a paper towel in the whiskey put it on my tooth and ran to the dentist. It really does temporally help.
