i have no idea why they like it, but my husband does that to our son all the time and he loves it!!! he looks scared for a sec. and then hes all smiles!!!!

I dunno why some babies like it and why some hate it.My 10 month old daughter loves it when her dad scares her.She laughs and gets the biggest smile on her face. She also loves it when her dad and 3 older brother play rough and wrestle with her. So much for a girlie girl. But she will have to be a tough little girl cause she not only has 3 older brothers ages 6,4,and3 but in February she will also have a baby brother.

lol, I'm not sure why some kids like that. My daughter was the same way, but my son hated it. My daughter would laugh so hard. She's still a crazy lil baby now!

With mine, it was packaging tape. When you pull it off the roll, and it makes that loud, sudden "FRRRRRRRRRRAP" sound, she would lift her little hands up, and laugh her head off. After about the sixth month, tho, nuthin. Now, tho, she loves being scared (BEGS me to see the movie SCREAM, because I let her see about 5 minutes of Scream III, the watered-down version on TV). I'm guessing some kids like it, some don't. Can't tell ya why, tho.

Baby's are funny that way. Some love it, some hate it.
My daughter startles VERY easily (I always feel bad when it's my fault that she jumps), but she never cries from it. I could never figure out why.

Your baby probly thinks it is fun my daughter used to love me playing boo and she would jump and Laugh and get the hiccups

Laughter is actually relief, that is what I read anyways, people learn to laugh because they are relieved, that could be the reason mabye.

He probably doesn't realise that he supposed to feel scared- he just is entertained by it.

It's probaly just entertaining to him. It's probaly not something you do every minute of everyday and it's just funny for him/her to see their mommy/daddy acting that way.
