She weighs 14 pounds, 10.5 ounces at 25 inches and 6.5 months. I still nurse her. We don't have problems with that. I also feed her baby veggies in these glasses. The only concern is she is so very active and playful and doesn't enjoy naps during the day. In the car yes lol.
The doctor says she is in the 20th percentile now, but healthy.

I dont think so at all. Of course I have a skinny baby too. I dont remember for sure, but I think my girl was around the same weight and a bit longer at the 6mth mark. She was a big baby at birth too, but she didnt want to eat any more than I nursed her and was VERY active as well (eager to skip those naps too) so where is the problem? I would feel a bit bad having people comment on my thin baby - having relatives ask when I was going to stop starving my baby and give her real food. Hard times, very hard times... especially when my husband wouldnt stand up for me at all and thought I should grow thicker skin instead of asking them to refrain from saying things that upset me. I'm too much of a wimp to stand up for myself, so I'd let them say it and then try to stay away/ignore them after that. She's a yr now, still a thin girl, still active, still my little angel...

Every baby is different, and how people assume fat rolls = healthy baby is beyond me. My girl has always had just one little roll on her thigh, a nice round belly, and super big cheeks. She just got sick for the first time last mth (and her father has brought the flu home from work 4 or 5 times already) and one really couldnt see a happier girl. We're lucky, no issues on having an overweight child. Let's hope this continues for our girls into adulthood.

My little girl has always been small for her age, but healthy like yours. The doctor isn't concerned as long as her height and weight are proportionate. For example, it is ok if she is in the 20th percentile for both height and weight, but if she was at the 20th for weight and 90th for height, it would be a concern. My daughter is 2 and weighs 23 lbs, and is somewhere around 32 or 33 inches. She is small, but so am I, and her father is just average height too. Your girl seems fine, and if your doctor says she is healthy, I wouldn't worry. If things change, they will let you know if it's a concern.

As long as she stays in the 20th percentile and stays active I wouldn't worry about it. If she starts to drop down lower or even off the chart then the doctors should be running some tests. If you feel like she's eating well and she seems healthy then I wouldn't worry about it.

Was she about 7 lbs at birth? By six months a baby should have doubled it's birth weight. Sounds like she is just fine, both of my kids are in the 25% for weight and always have been but are very healthy! You may just have a petite little girl :)

At 6.5 months my baby was almost 13lbs- he was in the 3rd percentile- and he eats all the time and anything. I was very concerned but my doctor wasn't. He told me to use more formula(I breast feed) but my guy is just a peanut. He was 6lbs 3oz when he was born and as lond as there isn't a huge drop in the percentile I wouldn't be worried.

Wow. My kid is a monster then, lol. He is the same exact size as your daughter but only three months old. But then again, the doctor told me that he was in the 75th percentile for his height and 90th for his weight....and that would make him sound fat, but you have to take in toll their height and their parents structures.

Is she in the 20th percentile for weight or height? At first, I was thinking that sounded too skinny but then I realized that was what my son was, and many say he looks like he is about five or six months, so I would say your daughter is just fine. She is a tall one, so I wouldnt worry about it because of course, the taller she gets, the skinnier she will look to you.

My son is 4 months and in the 25 percetile for weight. However if you look at myself and my hubby we both have small features and dont have a problem with weight. So his doctor didn't expect him to be huge.

As long as your baby is healthy then i would worry about it.

i dont think she is too skinny. my 4 month old weighs 13.5 lbs and she is in the 25th percentile. As long as your baby has been in the 20th percentile i think you're okay. Plus the doctor said she was fine.

That's about how much my daughter weighs now... she is also 6.5 mos born 29 march.

Your daughter just might have a high metabolism from being so active. As long as you don't start seeing ribs, she should be okay.
