My 4 month old daughter is teething. We're doing all the tricks and things friends and the doctor suggested and most of them work. Here's my question though. I know tugging on the tops of her ears, drooling, constant crying, and a fever are usually symptoms of teething. What about snoring and diarrhea? She hasn't had any fevers. She's breastfeeding so her poopy is usually runny but the past day or so it's been really watery. She's napping at the moment and lightly snoring...never heard it before today. What are other symptoms that you know of that I haven't listed so I'll be aware that's it's nothing to start freaking out about.

Sounds like you have listed most of them...of course all children being different. Both of my sons (3 & 1) have been known to have diarrhea right around the day the tooth comes through. My youngest is known to snore from time to time...maybe they sleep with their mouths open due to pain/discomfort? Sometimes they may seem a little more tired than usual? Maybe not sleeping well through the night(although at 4 months..they don't anyhow). The first four teeth and the last four teeth are always the hardest to go through. It's always hard as a parent going through this stuff the first time around. Although it's always best to check with your pedi/maybe at the next visit or by phone/ regarding ear pulling, diarrhea and snoring, because those can sometimes be other things(but please don't panic by my writing that :) ) I cannot seem to think of much else for symptoms...oh just chomping on their fingers. Best of luck getting through the teething.

Hylands teething tablets work GREAT!!! no stinging taste like the orajel and as soon as they touch their little mouths they dissolve, 2-3 usually do the job and U can wipe the tablets on their lil gums or just put them in their mouth, my daughter would stop fussing instantly... diarrhea is a symptom of teething as well, its diff symptoms with all babies bcuz mines just was cranky and always chewing on stuff and she started teething at 2 1/2 mos, she didnt get the fevers or any of the other common symptoms. U can even let her chew on a wet thin baby wash cloth they like the feel of that and of course the lil frozen teething rings. Good luck but do try the tablets, they were the only thing that worked for my baby, not the orajel

I'm not sure about watery diarhea, but diarea is normal during teething. My son is teething and does snore a little louder then he used to. It might be because of the extra drool in there mouths. You may just want to talk to the baby's doctor to make sure everything is ok.

what she is doing is perfectly normal. she is swallowing so much saliva that her stool is more runny then normal and the snoring thing is cuz of the saliva too. i went thru this with my first and i called the dr at 3 am and was told to go to bed and not worry. its part of the teething process

Take her to the doctor all babies are different she may have asthma or something more serious I never wait if there is a question in my mind. Also teething tablets really work if they are super fussy. What it sounds like to me is that she may have a ear infection that's common with teething children

Basically what you just mentioned here. When the baby is teething I used togive my son a teething object that is fromthe freezer for him to use. It helps them withthe teething and calms themdown.
