MY BABY IS ONLY 27 DAYS OLD. THE LAST 11 DAYS I HAVE BEEN GIVING HIM SIMILAC ISOMOL ADVANCE2. I DIDNT KNOW THIS BUT I READ THE CAN TODAY AND IT SAYS FOR BABIES 9-12 MONTHS. WHAT SHOULD I DO? IS THAT BAD FOR HIM??? HELP- PLEASE. AND ANOTHER QUESTION- WHEN CAN I START TO FEED HIM RICE CEREAL IN HIS FORMULA...AND STAGE 1 FOODS??

My 2 week old grunts and cries when he has a bowel or passes gas. His bowels are just like they should be (yellow and seedy) and aren't hard (quite runny). So is this normal, or should I call my pediatrician?

My pediatrician told me to start my baby on cereal. She said to feed her cereal in the am. and top it off with a bottle. The problem is i have been trying this for 4 days and my daughter screams bloody murder everytime i put the spoon in her mouth. she screams until i give her the bottle. So she is not really eating any cereal. My question is how do I get her to eat from the spoon? Should I try the cereal in between feedings instead of waiting for it to be time for her next bottle?

My daughter will be turning 4 months soon and she loves to be swaddled when she sleeps. I have had a hard time finding a blanket that is thin and big enough to wrap her in. Any suggestions on where I could buy a larger swaddling blanket? I would hate to stop swaddling her, it really helps her sleep longer. Thanks.

My baby is 3 months old. She has been slightly conjested for about 2 weeks. It isnt all day but only a short period in the early morning. She doesnt have a fever and she is eating fine. She has had a diaper rash within these two weeks it was a pretty bad one. It was her first one and I got it to clear up. Should I take her to the doctor? Also she has been fussy. What do you think it could be? Obviously I am a first time mom. Thanks for all the comments.

If a baby is born at 30 weeks does it take 10 more weeks for lungs to fully develope? Or does it just depend on the baby? My baby was born at 30 weeks. He has no known problems and was never on any machines when sent home.I think he was on a vent for about 4 days and then cpap for a couple hours but that was it. If anyone has expierence with this please let me know. I've thought about asking the dr for a lung x-ray or some test that might show but didnt know if that was something the dr would feel nessesary to do?

My 17 month old son has been off the bottle since 12 mo. He was using the Nuby sippy cups with a silicone spout. Now he uses a straw cup during the day and his pre-bed milk is given in the Nuby. His Dr. told me that he *should* be drinking out of a regular hard spout sippy...but my son refuses it!
Any suggestions about how I can get him to take the hard spout sippy? Or is it really that important? He can drink out of a straw, and a regular cup if I hold it for him- but he won't tip a regular sippy cup himself!

I tried using the Pamper's Cruisers, Huggies Surpremes, Especally For Baby, Target Brand and the diaper liners and they have all leaked. My son is only 15 pounds and I think I'm going to have to try size 4 diapers. Do you folks thank that I should try the Huggies Overnights and are they better then the White Cloud Overnights.

One other thing I would like to comment on. I used to be a die hard Huggies fan, but after trying the Pamper's Cruisers I just might change my mind. If you are a Huggies fan and haven't tried the Pamper's Cruisers give them a try. They fit my son like a glove. They did leak for overnight for my son, but I think that I just got the wrong size.

i have an 8week old baby and just recently (last week or so) she has stopped wanting to sleep in her cot. she will go down for an evening sleep but when she wakes in the night she will only go back to sleep in bed with us. i dont mind her sleeping in our bed but im worried she'll be in it for the next 5 years!!! does anyone have any experiences similar to this? any advice?

yeah its gross i know but ive heard its easy - and its not exacly fun being kept awake with the sound of baby gargling her mucus either

ive seen there is a suction cup thing you can buy but im prepared to give sucking it out myself a go.

i tried earlier but dont know if i wasnt sucking hard enough or if i should have kept her mouth shut but nothing came out

anyone out there ever sucked snot?
