mine will be a yr. old on the 30th of the month .for the past 2 mo. i have been making her food in a processor....i give her a little of each thing were having for dinner unless its spicy or something ,she loves the meats chicken, roast, fish, steak. I dont puree it all i use the chop setting alot it makes meats the texture of canned tuna .if it is very dry i mix in a little gravy .but she has been eating solids a long time now. if your baby has had all the jarred meats (baby food) id try grinding up some meats and test it out.if she can eat the chunkier stage3 baby foods it should be no problem & i bet shell love it

Instead of a food processor, try getting a food mill for 11.99 on amazon.com. You can grind whatever your eating for dinner and it doesn't destroy it quite as much as a food processor. At 11 months, though, your daughter should be eating reasonable chunks of food, not completely pureed stuff. I only used the food mill for tougher meats (like steak) at that age.
Try fish. I thought fish would be too strong a flavor, but most babies seem to love it right away.
My mom makes "mashed potatoes" out of cauliflower or carrots. Sounds strange, but it's really good - cook either one until really tender, mash with milk & butter and bake with your favorite cheese on top. Everyone will gobble this up, including your little one!

I wouldn't buy the processor, it's just a waste of money. Your 11 month old should be eating the food that everyone else eats. Only in a much smaller portion. She should also be trying to feed herself. I have an 11 month old he will be one Nov. 1st, but he eats what we all eat!!!

That's funny I went and still go through the same with my 13 month old. He loves his stage 3 veg, no meat, so I can understand the frustration. Get him vitamin with iron in it, the doctor told me that he was moderate with iron and suggested vitamin. He snacks on crackers all the time, however I make sure it contains fiber and protein, such as wheatables, wheat thins, triscuits. He loves his sweet potato, processed, but the doctor said that it was perfectly normal and as long as he is getting the nutrients, it should be ok. Introduce him to foods slowly by feeding him whats on your plate, my son loves rice and it is good for babies, give it a try, don't feel so frustrated...

hi, when my youngest son reached the age of 11 months back in May 2006 i started getting him the lil toddler entree's at the store. they have chicken and potatoes, with mixed vegetables, beef and potatoes with mixed vegetables and also speghettio's with mixed vegetables, he did really good with those. also you can start your child on some solid foods that you can cut up in little pieces so he/she wont get choked. good luck!

Why would you puree? they should be eating whatever you are eating just in more manageable pieces, that way there is no weaning from puree to solid food and a lot less work for you.
