Here's a dumb question, but my 11-month old's hair is starting to get in her eyes and I'm not confident enough to do this myself.

How do they manage to cut a baby's hair at a salon?
Do they have highchairs? Does the baby sit in your lap?

Anything else I should know?
Any tips on picking a place to get it cut?

Thanks!

My wife is breastfeeding my 4-month-old son and her period is late. Lately, she is been taking Gravol to help her fall asleep.

We actually used two home tests and both results came back negative.

Also, what worries me is that I think she getting addicted to Gravol. It's much appreciated if you could give me any info. you have about Gravol and its side effects.

She is only 24 and very very healthy and I don't want her to go on heavy sleeping pills which their chemicals usually and actually always make you addicted and cause mental health difficulties. The fact of the matter is that I don't trust her family doctor, because during her pregnancy once she opened up and dicussed her problem with her doctor but instead she recommended I give her prozac which can cause serious anxiety problems and can ruin your life for good.

Hi, i am 27 years old, married for 2 years now, i'm 26 weeks pregnant, i think its my 6th month !! i guess.

i am happy that soon i am going to welcome a third member to my little family, but i am so scared, and everytime i go shopping for the baby, or think about giving him bath, food, love, etc.. i go nuts, and i either cry or just do somthing else.

the problem is, i lived my entire life motherless, and actually my mother in law is so old she barely can help her self, we do not have people who you can hire or ask for their service helping you with the new baby born and pay them, they usually are normal maids and they are not safe at all...my husband is fine, but he is useless in this, he might HELP a little but not majorly !!
so any new VERY important tips you can give me, to at least feel secure now that my baby will stay alive with me !! things that usually are not in any book, coz i have read many books so far.
i know i am all alone in this,

i appreciate it

My doctor recommended the Lo, but never told me why!

to not actually feed your baby a lot but letting him taste things at 2 months old, I made beef stroganoff tonight and dipped my finger in the gravy sauce a few times and let my son taste it I would go mmm yum! and he kept getting a huge smile on his face and then a little giggle would come out. I thought this was sooo cute but is this harmful and if so why? (I understand dairy has to wait like yogurt or ice cream, ect.)

I just found out that a woman that I know's daughter (who is just two weeks older than mine) has just died from SIDS. I know that the cause of SIDS is "unknown", but are there risk factors, or things to do to try to prevent such a horrible thing?

When teenagers talk about I may be pregnant, I want a baby, I can just get an abortion etc...are they thinking about the baby, the LIFE, the way THEY were brought into this world? Unfortunalty today we have contraception etc. so they can just get rid of it like it was no big thing. A baby is a BLESSING. It is sad a lot of teenagers today don't realize that fro mthe beginning sex was a sacred thing for 2 people to show each other their love within marriage. What has it turned into? What is your opinion on this?

I just bought a new humidifier for my 4 month old, a Hunter Evaporative Humidifier, and I'm not sure whether or not it's working correctly. I used to own a Kenmore Warm Mist Humidifier, but they discontinued the filter for them. Anyways, with the Kenmore, I could feel the moisture it was putting out. This one feels as if a fan is blowing, neither warm nor cold. I did everything the directions asked about initial set-up, and let it run about 20 minutes on high. I don't feel any moisture. I'm also not sure whether it's a cool mist or what, because it doesn't specify. Is there any chance that it's working and I'm just expecting a different result?

He's 7 months old and doesn't sit up by himself. When I sit him on the blanket on the floor he tips over. He'll be 8 months old on the 10 of november. What could be wrong. And he has this weird cry.It didn't sound like that a few months ago.Is that something I should worry about also? His doctor says nothing is wrong but I think something is.
