Anything, it doesn't matter what ANYONE says on here at the moment,..
YOU NEED TO TAKE HER TO THE DOCTOR
She may have just had her own Immune System take over and is suddenly haveing allergies. Or she may be sick. You might want to try getting her new bedding/pillow because your Doctor won't be able to say what allergy she has yet.
But then the last posiblity is she may be rubbing her eyes too much, and then the next day they are irritated so she rubs them too much some more,.. and so on. Which no matter what is wrong your going to want to keep her from doing anyways, but it's posible that is the only problem. I sure hope that is the only problem.

It may be allergy's. Make sure the baby's finger nails a clipped short no not to short you don't want her to scratch its eye. If the baby keeps rubbing the eyes before you can get it to the doctor put some socks on it hands. Make sure they are cotton socks not knit or homemade as then the baby could get fibers in to the eyes. GOOD LUCK

If it looks like something serious, take her to the doctor. A lot of babies have chubby faces and the skin can be pudgy around the eyes. I'm not sure what your babies eyes look like though to know if it looks okay or not. Babies also like to touch their faces and scratch themselves at random. They really don't have any control over their hand motions, especially at such a young age. My son will grab his face and accidently scratch himself at times but it's a normal thing that babies do. But if your baby seems to be bothered by this, ask a doctor about it.

Sounds like conjunctivitis. My daughter had the same at 3 months. Take her to the doctor and you can get a prescription for some cream that you put on her eye twice a day.

Do you have a dog or cat? I had that issue as a child and it was allergies! If I was around anything with fur my eyes would seriously swell shut and itch. So it could be that. But take her to the doctor to find out. And be sure to keep her nails cut short &/or put those protective hand mitts on her so she does not cut her eye with her nails.

pink eye...most babies do not have their tear ducts working properly for a while...you might have to gently rub under the eye so the eye can clean itself in the future
