My sons dr told me it was ok to dip his pacifier in stage 1 foods, that was at 2 months, he is now almost 3 months old and lately I have been giving a very very small amount of rice cereal and stage 1 applesauce in a cereal feeder at night before bedtime, this helps him to sleep through the night, if he was going to have a reaction to the cereal or any new stage 1 food he was trying on his pacifier it would present itself within the first week or so right? I know that you are supposed to wait a week between new foods and I do I was just wondering if I was right in guessing that if it was going to bother him it would present itself shortly after the first feeding of a new food.

I've heard you can start showing as early as 8 weeks or as late as 7 months! When did you start showing, and what did it feel like when you first felt your baby moving?

Although she loves breastfeeding, she does however, want to pump and introduce a bottle eventually so that she can leave him occasionally, maybe for one feeding a day. At what point should she do this?

Me and my husband are struggling with my sons sleeping habits. My husband works during the day and enjoys coming home and allowing our son to sleep with us. I on the other hand, I have to deal with those reprocostions. I have to rock our son to sleep for every nap and to put him to bed. He will sleep in his crib for about 3-4 hours and then wakes up crying. My husband then will get up and put him in our bed. My husband snores and is a bed hog, my son is just like his father. It's so bad I've even threatened to sleep on the floor in my sons nursry! I have heard great things about the ferber method but my husband cant stand hearing my son cry. I'm at a loss with what to do. please help!

My gf and I had a preemie in July and were able to bring the baby home in August. My gf was up and about a week after giving birth but now that the baby home all she does is sleep. I'm at work all day and when i come home i help with the baby. i had expected her to tidy up around the house but now expect nothing except for her to take care of the baby. So her only responsiblity is to make sure that the baby is taken care of in all aspects. (ie: food, clothing, bathing, diapers). I come home and make her dinner, vacum, clean house, clean kitchen (she helps clean the kitches sometimes) and help out with the baby. Am i out of line to be upset if the baby runs out of diapers, low on wipes, she leaves me with not enough milk to feed him while shes gone, she yelled at the baby to shut up cause he was crying and she was tired (only once)?????????? I know that taking care of the baby alone is a HUGE job and do give credit for it.

I have been breastfeeding my son for four months now. I am not in any pain what so ever. I have noticed a small red rash on the outside outer edges of my breast. It does not itch and my son does not have thrush. It will go away some and get brighter sometimes too. It has been there for about a week. I also have been getting little red dots under my skin on my breast like a bruise almost. They are about the size of an eraser. My question is have any of you ever encountered this or anything similar? What did you do to correct this? Any information is appreciated.

I went to see the doctor a few days ago for anxiety, he prescribed me the med Paxil. (I am a mother of two daughters, four years and four months old.) I am not sure if I am also suffering from depression, but I do feel down alot of days. I am wondering if anyone has taken Paxil and if it will affect me in any negative ways. I am hesitant to take it also because I've heard it causes weight and I am already overweight. Any advice would help. Thanks

My baby was born 8 weeks premature and is getting breastmilk still but he has to have 2 bottles a day of formula for the extra calories. Plus he gets an iron supplement which I'm sure is causing his constipation.

He has not had a bowel movement on his own for over 3 weeks. I have had to give him a supposetory every 3 days so he'll go. The doctor says it's normal for a baby to not go everyday...but every 3 days, come on. Today is the 4th day of trying Karo syrup but still hasn't gone. How long and how often do I need to give him Karo before he will go? Any suggestions or other ideas would help...

Right now I plan on buying the following for my 1st baby nursery:

Crib
Changing table/dresser combo
Toy Box
Rocking chair
Toys
Hamper
Baskets for baby supplies
Wall Decorations
Curtains

What else should a nursery have besides clothes and stuff like that? What do you think are nice extras?

I have tried to look it up on the internet but no help is provided. Thanks

My 5 month old has just recently started shaking his head from side to side (like he's saying no) he seems to do it alot when he's tired, but then he also does it during the day and he thinks it's funny. He is doing it so much that he has worn a big bald spot on the back of his head, it looks like I took the scissors and cut his hair! Any thoughts or experiences?

my daughter is almost 6mos. old and I still have her in the craddle next to me at night. And during the day for naps I put her in the crib in her room. She is doing betterin there and taking longer naps My husband and I know she is getting to big for her craddle and needs to be moved in the crib but I worry about sids. But everyone I talk to say if she can roll over and get her arms out she will be fine and she moves all over and rolls from front to back and keeps rolling . But I want to know is it ok to move her crib to my room for 2mos to keep a eye on her to make sure she will be ok on her own. For when we put her in her own room at night For when she is ready. And also she like to sleep on her side and pushes her self to the top of the craddle where her head hits and almost her face against the bumper pad is that normal or safe because I seem to loose sleep checking on her at night to see if she is ok. Need some advice Thank You!!

My son is drooling like crazy, and biting on everything. But this week he has also been waking up screaming every 2 hours, and has lost his appitite. He would rather look at me than nurse. I still can get 2-3 good feeding a day, but other feedings have gone from 30 minutes to 5minutes. He's also got a runny nose.
