YES HE IS TEETHING. A RUNNY NOSE IS A PART OF IT. WHEN ALL OF MY CHILDREN WERE TEETHING, THEY ALL HAD THE RUNNY NOSE, LOSS OF APPETITE, MILD DIARREAH, SERIOUS DROOLING, BITING ANYTHING IN SIGHT. OH, DON'T LET ME FORGET THE SCREAMING. MASSAGE HIS GUMS, AND IF HE HAS A FEVER, GIVE HIM TYLENOL. ALSO GIVE HIM SOMETHING COLD ON HIS GUMS. MY BABIES LOVED ICE ON THEIR GUMS. IT SOOTHES THE PAIN AND COOLS THEIR GUMS.

I think it is so typical teething symptoms.
Other possible explanation maybe gassy or stuffy nose, but both can't explain the drooling part.
Best way to find out is give him some tylenol before his bed time and see how he react in the following 4 hours. If he sleeps nice and sound in that 4 hours. He is absolutely teething!

This is very similur to my little cousins problem. He had almost the exact same symptoms. It turned out to be a toothache that had an infection of some sort. He was druling and biting on everything to make it feel better. He would too wake up and cry to my aunt. You should probably see a doctor if a tooth medication doesnt work. Its not soemthing you should go nuts over though. Hope this helps! :-)

sounds like teething to me! I don't have a baby, but i watch a 18 month old all day! Her appetite has flucuated, she wakes up screaming, she'll scream for like 2 seconds and then be fine for about 5 minutes.
Her mother has given me permission to give her tylenol, but try a frozen cloth, frozen bananas, just anything frozen! If he is still too little for solid food, try a teething ring!
Good Luck!

When you are feeding solids start out with something cold, like cold fruit, it feels soooooo good on those gums!!! that defiantely is teething some babies get it soo bad =0( hope he feels better, but always give him something that he loves to chew on... I would always fill the orajel cap and close it and let my daughter chew on it, she would just sit there like she was in heaven.... also an over the counter med called oral suspension is realllllllly good....

Yeah, that's teething. My kids would go on nursing strikes when certain teeth came in.
Try Motrin, and see what happens.
The good thing about Motrin is that, since they no longer recommened automatically treating every ear infection with antibiotics, you can use it for any sort of pain control: teething OR an ear infection.

Probably teething and the onset of a cold. Try some baby Orajel on his gums as well as Vicks Vaporub Baby on his chest.

Better safe than sorry.....I would take him to the doctor. He may be teething but it sounds like a virus or cold of some kind. Good luck to you.

I would have his ears checked. It sounds like he might have an ear ache. It could just be teething but I would rule out other causes.
