I really like to use the Miracle Blanket. You can get it at miracleblanket.com I am terrible at swaddling with just a sheet and this blanket keeps the babies arms at the sides and is really huge. You can check out to see if they have a size/weight limit or not. But the fabric is nice and lightweight so the baby won't get too hot.

Receiving blankets (the flannel kind you take home from the hospital) seem to be getting smaller and smaller. You can find flannel at most fabric stores and make your own. If you can find 45" wide and have the cut a 45" length than hem it, wash it and you have a nice sized swaddling cloth that will be big enough for several more months.

No, i do no longer come across a swaddled toddler creepy staring in any respect... i discover it certainly fairly cute.. once I see a swaddled toddler with somewhat hat on it merely makes me think of of ways new and tiny they're. I do think of it extremely is weird and wonderful whilst mom's swaddle their 6 month olds however... i think of that's a newborn component and could be diminished out interior the 1st month of life.

Not sure. Maybe you could go to a craft store and find some fabric that is thin and you could just make a blanket for her. You could get however much you needed so it wasn't too big or too small. Just fold in the edges and hem them like you would a pair of pants. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything. Good luck and God bless.

Simple solution: Buy some fabric---about 1 1/2 yards of flannel and make it yourself. Wash it first, then finish the edges so it won't fray. Look into it.
Another thought--4 months old is bit old for swaddling. The baby needs to learn to move around so she can sit, crawl, reach, etc.

Go to a fabric store and find an appropriate fabric to make a blanket out of. Then sew a trim on. If its fleece or flannel the trim is not ushually an issue.

Go to a fabric store and buy a yard of a thin flannel in a baby color. You can hand hem it or Machine hem it. If you don't sew ask a friend who does. It is a very simple Job. Wash to get rid of the sizing.
Swaddling seems to be coming back, I'm happy to see it. My children always slept well that way.

You could try making her a blanket. Just go to a fabric store and look for the right type of material.

go to some place like wal-mart that sells fabrics and get a piece cut big enough for swaddling then you can pick the material size and design on it
