My baby is 3 months old. She has been slightly conjested for about 2 weeks. It isnt all day but only a short period in the early morning. She doesnt have a fever and she is eating fine. She has had a diaper rash within these two weeks it was a pretty bad one. It was her first one and I got it to clear up. Should I take her to the doctor? Also she has been fussy. What do you think it could be? Obviously I am a first time mom. Thanks for all the comments.

Colds can take a long time to clear up. Taking her to the doc won't hurt and might give you peace, but it doesn't sound like she needs to go. Going by how she is eating and her demeanor is an excellent way to judge the situation. If she is fussy, try to describe it...is she just wanting to be held, or does she sound like she's in pain? Fussiness could be teething, overly tired, wanting to be held, boredom. I happen to be a Parent Coah and can help....free initial consultation if you'd like to call 866.238.9095. I'm also the mother of seven kids!

Because your baby is only three months old and this has been going on for two weeks you should definitely talk to your doctor about the conjestion. PLEASE do not give your child Tylenol cold and sinus. At that age you should only be using saline drops in her nose to loosen any mucous.
The conjestion and diaper rash are probably not related.

Yes, she needs to be seen by her pedi. It could be an ear infection or a cold or any number of things. Also, diaper rash sometimes happens after a baby has had a fever that breaks.

Hi hun,
Do you have a humidifier? It could just be the beginning of a cold, but since I'm not a pediatrician I'd say take her to see her doctor to be sure. If you have a humidifier use it, if not, buy one. Hope that helps.

Call the doctor- she is probably fine, but of course it's always better to be safe. This is the time for colds. My son had a runny nose for almost three weeks- Just try to suction out her nose especially before she goes to sleep. But I would first call the doc. that will set your mind at ease.

Whenever you are in doubt about anything call your Dr. that's what they are there for, and don't think for a minute that your bothering them. It could be a simple matter of you need to raise the head of her crib about 2" or it could be serious, so its OK to ask on answers but always double check with her doctor. Good luck and you'll do just fine.

Your pediatric office should have a nurse on line to give you some advice. I personally think she is fine. I called my pediatric office when my little one had the same symptoms, and they said as long as there is no fever and she is eating, then she should be okay.

Could be allergies or it could be her teeth. When mine were teething they got a diaper rash and had runny noses.

she sounds fine. I'd give it some more time before going to the doctor's.
