With my first I bled for about 3 months straight and ended up having to put on medication to regulate it again. This time (9 weeks ago) I bled for 3 weeks then stopped and now I've had my first period for 2 whole weeks!!! It's really different for everyone and different each time. Hope this helps :)

I had a c-section 11 weeks ago and I bled pretty heavily for the first 3 weeks, and then it mellowed out. I would then bleed on and off after that (still kind of heavy when it would happen), and some brown to yellow spotting. It finally stopped completely at the beginning of this month, and I got my period back about 2 weeks ago.

I had a c section 5 months ago and bled for about 3 weeks or so. Wasnt that bad, right after surgery was the worst tho, but then it mellows out.

I had a c-section 7 weeks ago, and I bled for about 2 weeks. The last few days, it was just a watery blood--very very light. It will eventually go away. A good sign it is lessening is when you stop passing clots.

i had a c-section 7 weeks ago and i didnt stop bleeding for about 4 weeks.. my doctor told me that typically its anywhere from 2-6 weeks sometimes longer and u might stop and then start again in a few days.. good luck and congrats!

Hello,
Let's see, I believe I bled for 4 months. The hospital gave me these huge pads to wear and these huge underwear as well. At first, the bleeding was heavy and really red, then towards the end, the bleeding got lighter in frequency and color.

with my c section i bled about month, but rather lightly. And my next period was rather long and heavy, but everyone is different.
