I would like to know if anyone has breastfed and smoked cigarettes. And if so, is everything ok. I am 35 weeks pregnant and have smoked my whole pregnancy. My doctor says the baby is perfectly healthy. I seen in baby talk magazine that you can smoke, but not more than half a pack a day. I only smoke that much anyways. But I also seen on websites and stuff that you should quit if you breastfeed. I dont want to quit. If I did I would've done it when I found out I was pregnant. If it is not safe then I wont breastfeed. Please help me, I am in need of a decent answer!

My daughter turned one a few weeks ago. I've been trying to get her to take water, or milk, or ANYTHING in a bottle (which she NEVER took to) and now in sippy cup. The best I get is using those latex tip ones and she just chews on them, makes a huge mess, and only ends up drinking MAYBE 1 ounce a day. Other than that, she takes the breast. I want another baby, so I'd like to get her off the breast, but I don't know what to do to get liquids in her otherwise. I'm so affraid she won't get enough, esspecially because she is a REALLY picky eater and doesn't eat very much either. Anyone have this problem that can give some tips on how they got their child to drink?

My 5 month old baby girl has a very small appetite and she just does not show any interest in drinking formula even if she is hungry.
The formula is not giving her any kind of trouble .
She drinks only 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hrs.
Moreover I have been noticing that she hates the feeding sessions and is only interested in playing all day long even if she is starving.
I an having a very very hard time getting her to drink just the minimum about of formula that she is supposed to consume for her age and weight.
I would really appreciate any tips and advice on how to make the best of our feeding sessions and how I could get her to drink well.
The doc says she just has a small appetite .........but I just hate that as the doctor seems very laidback.
Thanks.

Have you had both circumcised and uncircumcised partners?

Which do you prefer?

Why?

How did intercourse feel different?

I have come up with Lily Ann or Kaylee Ann. Anyone have any other ideas? Or maybe some other middle names to go with Lily or Kaylee?

My baby is 8 months old, no teeth, and breastfeeding. She still ahs no interest in food! She'll snack on a few cheerios and maybe one or two pieces of cooked carrots off my plate from time to time. Other than that she only drinks breastmilk, and only from me. She won't even take a bottle or sippy cup. My other child was eating everything by now! I'm starting to worry. Her pediatrician said not to worry, but that was back a month or so ago. I wish she would eat!!!!

If a baby is not tolerating powdered infant formulas, including the ones for colic like Nutramigen, I have heard that some children do well with old fashioned evaporated milk formulas. What are the specific ingredients and has anyone had experience with them?

Granted he will sit with assistance, but won't by himself. We try to keep him propped up as much as possible, is there anything else we can do? do you think there is something wrong? should I worry?

My 5 week old is barely taking any naps during the day, and is only sleeping around 6-7hrs a night, in between feedings. When she tries to nap she often wakes after only 20mins. Also, when she is awake, she is extremely fussy and often can't be consoled easily. I'm not sure if she's suffering from excess gas or possibly GERD or worse colic, any advice would be great
