I remember the hospital had them, but they just come in cases of 250. Too bad, cause I'm on the go most of the time.

Do you mean the ready to go kind, that's in little two ounce bottles, like were given to the baby in the hospital?

I have seen them in packages of 6, and larger cases (don't know exactly how many) at Babies R Us. They are much much more expensive than powdered formula, though. Short term, they are easier, but long term they're not worth it.

What I do is use playtex drop-ins. Each drop in is pre-sterilized, and I boil all of the nipples about once a week. Or, instead of boiling them, you can run them through the dishwasher.

When I am packing the diaper bag to go somewhere, I get usually 3 bottles out and go ahead and put the water in, and premeasure the formula into a little dispenser that I bought at Toys R Us (but I've seen them lots of places). That way, it's very easy to make a bottle very quickly, and it's pretty cheap.

The only kind of disposable nipples that i know of are the ones you get in the hospital that screw right onto the jar of ready made formula. These you have to order and are VERY expensive. Plus, they only fit on those jars which you also have to order form the company and are WAY WAY expensive. You can however buy bottles that take drop-in sterilized disposable liners. These can be cheap, but you have to keep buying them over and over and over......and the nipples are not disposable. Regular reusable bottles and nipples are the cheapest yet, as the bottles last forever and you only have to buy nipples to change the flow rate as your baby gets older. These can be sterilized by boiling in water for ten min or running them through the dishwasher. They make special baskets for nipples and ring so they don't fall to the bottom and get melted. You don't HAVE to sterilize though. A good wash in clean, warm soapy water and a hot rinse is usually ok. One of my daughters is special needs and has almost no immune system and her doc still says that soap and water is enough for her feeding equipment. (she's on a G tube)

you can buy bottles with formula already in them and disposbale nipples at Babies R Us. Also try the pharmacy at any hopital that has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). They usually have special products that are used for sick babies. Also you can buy individually wrapped sterile nipples online, but I don't recall the name of specific websites. We bought little bottles of Similac and individually wrapped nipples for our son when he was sent home from the NICU because that is what they used in the hospital and we didn't want to rock the boat with being fragile.

I know that Similac used to sell disposable bottles and nipples for them in packages of 6, at Babies R Us, but I haven't seen them in a while. Try going to Similac's website...

You should just sterilize them yourself. Get a bottle sterilizer or boil them and put them in baggies to keep them sanitary until use if you have to travel with them.

I'm sure you can buy them online, but you can also boil them for abut two minutes and save yourself some time and money. Also, you can buy a sterilizer which goes in your dishwasher.

buy baby bottles and tops at any supermarket but they don't come properly steralized so make sure you boil any new rubber nipples for baby bottles (like in a pot on the stove for 3 minutes) and at least rinse out the bottles with hott hot water and soap...
