The average age is 12 months but you have to remember that all babies are different. Some will walk sooner & some later. My daughter was 14 months, perfectly healthy, just didn't feel the need to walk till then.

It really varies, but the average is about one year. It seems that some babies are focused on language and talk early so they are often walking at a later age (13-15mos). Other babies are working on their physical development and walk earlier (9-11 months) but may not be speaking until they are 18-24 months.

My daughter just started walking well more like running but she is 11 months old. A few of my friends kids are around the same age though and are not walking yet so it all depends.

A child cannot begin to walk until its legs are able to support their weight. That depends on the child. One friend's daughter started walking on her own on the day she turned 9 months old. There isn't one answer.

Around 1 yr old. Some are earlier, some are later. My wife's cousin's child was walking at 9 months or so, but I think that's very rare.
