My daughter is 2 months old. My hubby was out of work 2 weeks after baby was born. Now he works 12 hour shifts & sleeps in between & is off on the weekends. When he holds her she gets fussy. Is it because he didn't get to bond with her or she has to get to know him again? Or are most babies just close to their mommies like that? I would like to know cause it worries me.

Ok, before anything, I told my baby's doctor whats going on but she said it was normal, but mom's can relate to me about gut feelings and what the doctor says isn't right.
Here's the deal, for the past week, I've been giving my baby her formula, she'll start sucking and she takes 2oz, then I burp her and everything is fine. I try feeding her again, but then she'll start crying and has a hard time trying to eat. I can tell that she's still hungry cause she'll suck on it, but then she cries. I can hear her stomach rumble, and everytime that happens, she cries. She was a good eater taking 4-6oz, now she's only taking 2-3oz.
Now, do you think this is normal like the doctor says? Or do you think my gut is right? Anybody gone thru this experience?

I am looking for used fall/winter clothes for a boy. Size 6-9 months. Anyone have any they don't need anymore? I just can't justify spending $100 or more for clothes that he will out grown in such a short time! I have tried second hand shops online and ebay but just can't find anything worth it.

I know this sounds crazy but I have 2 children and have never heard of this before and I am just a little nosey. I read that mother's give this to their infants when they are constipated? My 1 year old sometimes doesn't go for 2 days...just curious if this could help?

When I had a baby, I swore not to let her suck her thumb because I think it looks bad when I see a 3 year old still sucking his/her thumb. I had given my daughter a "Bippy" (pacifier) and she took it, until now! She has found her thumb and will spit her bippy out and take her thumb. It's cute and all and it could be she is exploring her hands, but I dont want her to get hooked on it! Should I keep taking it out of her mouth or do you think it's a phase and she'll grow out of it with age. (hopfully not till she is 2)

My son is 2 and 1/2 months old and hasn't got a diaper rash yet. But when he 1st came home even know he was going at night 5 to 6 hours without wanting to eat he'd wake up once get a clean diaper and go back to sleep fast. Now he is sleeping 7 1/2 hours to 8 and not waking up. He has no sign of diaper rash. But I've seen kids with diaper rash and I'm tryin everything in my power to make sure he doesn't get diaper rash. Should I be worried about him sleeping that long with no clean diaper???? OR what to do to insure he doens't get diaper rash from sleeping so long??

My daughter and I struggled a bit with breastfeeding when she was first born... I had dry, cracked, and occasionally bleeding nipples. Then the skin got tougher and I got better at breastfeeding. Now it's 8 months later and they've started to crack and bleed again! My daughter doesn't have teeth and she isn't biting me. Has this happened to any other breastfeeding moms? What treatment do you recommend?

One of my twins wants to eat every hour and a half to two hours. I feed him 2 oz, and i wanted to know if that was enough. My other twin is content with the 2 oz and she wakes up every 3-4 hours to eat.

Does anyone else have an infant with seasonal allergies? How do you deal with it? Doc says its bad to keep her on medicine. But, she is getting sick (bacterial infections) because of all the congestion. She already went through antibiotics, got better for a couple days and is now sick again. Any advice?

What was the level of education like you received from your midwife or hospital on 'what to do in an emergency’? Were you given adequate information on emergency care such as what to do if your baby is choking or stops breathing when you are at home? If you didn't receive any training do you think it would be a good idea to teach basic life support to new mums and dads and talk about the most common emergency situations?

I have been told that Asda nappies are made by huggies and Tesco's by Pampers. However, I've been advised to stick to the actual brands for newborn. Anyone tried both?

My son is 8 months old and only uses his soother for his nap time. He is usually nursed to sleep, or is drowsy enough that he doesn't need the soother. It's not a big deal now, but sooner or later it will be, I'm not a fan of an older baby with a soother. When did you stop using it and how did you do it without totally scarring the baby ?
