5 months?? 2 months "vickie l"???? Just shows that the chav culture is still going strong. Do you think "vickie l" had her baby's tongue done at 4 months?

(Good going by the way, you should extend the deadline on this question and see if you can beat my record of 126 answers!)

Yes, I did. I pierced the ears of my two girls when they were few days old. Being girls I truly believe that it will be nice to see them wearing earrings which I am sure they will love to do as they are growing. Earring is a widely used common accessories known since the early times. I did piercing while they are still young as the ears tissue is much softer and doing it later will be a more bit difficult particularly on how they will react to the pain sensation. Anyway the use of ear gun made it quick, easy, and made the crying very less thus it means that pain was at very low extent. Doing it in this purpose is good but piercing the baby's ear for another reason is another story to tell.

No. My b/f and I have discussed this and we both agree that they should have their ears pierced when they are old enough to make the decision themselves. I don't actually think that babies look cute with their ears pierced and I'm a fan of pierced ears (had mine done 4 times, first time when I was 7) My friends daughter had hers done and a few months ago the butterfly of her earring got embedded inside her earlobe. She had to take a trip to accident and emergency to have it removed. Lets kids be kids a bit longer, whats the hurry to make them grow up. Keep the innocence. When she is old enough to want to have her ears pierced its something you can discuss and then make a special day of getting it done.

No way, what for? Why take the risk and what good does it do? If you get your babies ear pierced you might just as well have a tattoo at the same time...I would not even ask myself the question!

I wouldn't have them pierced at all. I think it's up to the child to make that decision. I'm 19 and still don't have my ears pierced. This is just the choice I've made, and really don't think I would have been happy with my parents if they had gotten them pierced before I had a say in the matter,

No I wouldn't. Taking care of a baby is enough work in itself. The baby doesn't care what it's ears look like. There is a risk that the wound could become infected, don't make extra work and worry for yourself at this stage, wait until the child is old enough to take care of cleaning their own ears.

No, In my opinion having a baby's ears pierced is borderline child abuse. Your baby is perfect as they are so why would you want a stranger stabbing cold pieces if metal through your perfect baby's ears for the sake of your own vanity???

Simply...no! The risk of a baby either scratching their little ears, pulling the earring out or catching them on something with all their playing around does not bear thinking about!

It would be the A&E every other day...so absolutely not!

No, babies don't care if they wear earrings or not, only parents do. So I won't put her through that. When she's older and will want to have her ears pierced - fine with me.

I had my daughters ears pierced at 6 months old.She cried for a couple of minutes & then forgot about it.I think it was kinder to her to do it while she was at an age she'd never remember having it done.My parents pierced my ears when i was four & although i'm glad they did,i was old enough to remember having it done & i wish they'd done it when i was younger.

Lets face it most girls are going to want to wear earrings when they grow up & if she doesn't then she doesn't have to.

No. When pierced too young, the piercing often ends up crooked by the time they grow up. Many girls end up letting them heal up so that they can re-pierce them evenly. Smaller ears gives less room for error. Wait until they're about 5-6 years or older for better results.
