ok, well i love my baby girl very much. shes 7 months. like 30 minutes ago i was holding her while she was stading up on the floor. she was moving alot and she sliped out of my hands and she hit her head on the carpet floor. is she going to be okay? This is the first time it happened and i feel so bad because it was an accident that i really didnt want to happen. she was crying alot but she calmed down and she went to sleep. I am just praying that she will be okay. please honest answers from mothers only.

I have mentioned this to her pediatrician, her physical therapist, and the occupational therapist at the NICU follow-up appointments. They don't seem overly concerned and tell me to "keep trying." It's frustrating as my daughter is almost 25 pounds and is too heavy to hold all the time to give her a bottle. I try to get her hands on the bottle, but she pulls away. She would rather have her hands out to her sides or stroking my face as she drinks. She's just starting to pull herself up, thank goodness, as she, too, is getting very heavy to lift all the time!

Any suggestions on holding the bottle?? What about a two handled sippie cup?? Should I start and see if she will hold the sippie cup instead?

Sometimes my baby cries during his sleep, some times it is just a whine, and sometime is a painful cry. He is 4 month old, what could be hurting him?

She has been doing htis since she was 2mts old. There isn't a week when she will go by without throwing up atleast once
The ped suggested taking her to a gastrointerologist
But going to a gi is tooo invasive
I don't have the heart to do that
She has mild reflux and is on medication for that

I have a 1 yearold abd a 3 mos old. His sister was preemie so they are 9 mos apart. When his little sister was born she was in the hospital for a long time so I had to go to the hospital every day to see her, of course. When she got out of the hospital she had to go to the ER for vomiting incessantly which resulted in her having surgery on her stomach so I stayed with her then while he stayed with his father at home. Just last month she was back in the hospital for two weeks and I stayed with her when she had Group B strep and he stayed with his father. It just seems he cries about everyhing, and they both get the same amount of attention and love..and I let him know that he is still also my baby. He cries when I make her a bottle even if I give him one..he cries if I'm holding her and he cries if just the littlest thing, even a toy, frustrates him. It is more of a loud ear piercing scream than a cry. I don't know what to do. I love on him all the time.

He even has favorites that he smiles to every time they come on. Is this not good for him, tho, he enjoys it? He watches for a good hour. Same thing every morning.

Just seems to me that a baby two months early would not be that heavy. But is it possible?

I really love the name Elle for a girl. I think it's beautiful yet cute yet sophisticated. The problem is, my name is Emily and everyone calls me Em. My concern is that everyone would call me Em which reminds me of the letter M and everyone would call her Elle which reminds me of the letter L. Would it be weird to name a girl Elle if people call me Em?

Ok, I'm five months pregnant, this is my first, and I'm trying to come up with a very unique (but not outragious) name. I found out yesterday it's a girl, but no one can be 100 % sure before the birth, so my question is what are some good, and unique girl or boy names?

Being able to breastfeed is a natural thing to be able to do to feed your off spring. Why is it so many people look down on it? Are they imbaressed? Even when I am covered, people act wierd. My Baby is hungery, if they were hungrey they would bring something to eat, I supply her something to eat. Can anyone supply any insight?

Hi. I'm going to start weaning my son from breatfeeding because I have to have surgery. He is 9 months old. Right now he nurses 4 times a day, but the nursing sessions have been getting shorter because he keeps trying to get down. How many bottles/cups each dayhave you given your 9 month olds and how many ounces do you give each time? And do you give those bottles/cups before, during or after solid meals? Thank you.

My friend had a beautiful baby girl yesterday by c section .She was fully knocked by aneasthetic. Her husband wasnt allowed in the room when it was delivered because the doctor said most men faint?? and when it had been born they didnt gave the baby to them to hold they just put it in a cot beside the bed 4 hours later they still hadnt held it (There was no nurse around to ask) . She could barely move and the husband wasnt shown how to hold it.
Also the nurse gave the baby a bottle of formula milk when it was born she said it was hungry this was before the mother woke up.

Me and my friend are british we are living in turkey she is married to a turkish man.

We are both only 22 so I was wondering was this proccedure correct it all seemed a bit odd to me

My daughter is 16 weeks old and weighs nearly 17 pounds already! When she was born she weighed just 6 pound 10 oz. My first 2 children had low birth weights and grew slowly so this is a new situation for me. My baby is breast fed she feeds every 2 hours day during the day and every 3 hours during the night. She is a happy, and healthy baby but i'm concerned about her weight gain and want to know if it is normal or if something else may be wrong like a growth disorder or am i over feeding her?

I had found a couple of charts for the amount of solids you should feed your baby by month. They were from a children's hospital. But now I cant find them! Anyone know of a good one?
