and now I'm asking it. I'm desperate. My little baby is 5 1/2 months old, and he wakes anywhere from 4 to 8 times a night. Now I've had 4 other babies, but he is very different from them. He has never developed any patterns schedules none of that. I love him to death, but now i'm beyond sleep deprived.
Any suggestions on getting my little one to be able to sleep at least a little more consistently through the night?
With 5 kids, I'm becoming very fried. So is my poor husband.
I love my little doll but he just doesn't sleep well.

I have a 7 month old baby and he's still breastfeeding, he's eating cereal, babyfood both fruits and veggies. However, he has a extremely difficult time pooping. He gets to the point where he cries really hard and then all that will be there is a rabbit size poop. I tried the prune juice or pear but he won't drink it. The only thing that works is if I only feed him prune baby food but i can't feed him that for the rest of his life. I want him to develop good tastebuds. I also tried the 3 p's (peaches and pears too) I don't know what to do. I also have used the baby suppatories. They work but are only temporary until I feed him something else. Any Idea on how i can help make his stool softer and easier to pass?? Please help I'm very confused on what to do.

My daughter is 11 months old and takes a bath in the big tub. She loves it. But the only problem is, when I go to wash her hair, it is impossible to make her tilt her head back for long enough to wet, wash and rinse. It usually gets all in her face. Of course I use tearless shampoo so it doesn't hurt her, but I would like to be able to do it so it's easier for both me and her. Any suggestions?

My daughter is 1 in 3 weeks. She is still being breastfed. We feed her baby cereal and baby food fruit in the morning and I feed her baby food vegetables for dinner. She nurses first thing when she wakes up, a few times during the day and at night before bed. Usually for lunch I give her table food - whatever we are eating. I have no idea how much she should be eating at this age - she is my first baby. I would like to wean her from the breast by her first birthday. She drinks juice well from a cup and I give her whole milk sometimes too. Can anyone give me some tips on how much a one year old should be eating? I don't want to give her too much, but I don't want her to go hungry either!! She also snacks during the day on crackers, those gerber puffs and gerber dried fruit things. Thanks!

My little girl is going to be 1 year old in 3 weeks. She has recently started to go crazy when I change her diaper! She is fine while I wipe her, but as soon as the new diaper goes under her butt and I start to put on the vaseline all hell breaks loose. She arches her back, locks her legs and screams bloody murder! She cries so bad that sometimes she can't catch her breath She tries to roll over and get away - but I'm afraid to let her go around with no diaper on. I don't want her peeing all over the house! I feel so bad because I lose my temper and yell at her which makes everything worse. I try to hold her down to put the new diaper on, but it is next to impossible. Any advice??

we were eating at a restaurant when my baby hit her nose in the table. i dont really think it was a big bump but right now her nose is a little red. it's not swollen or it doesnt look disconfigured. I called her doctor and they told me to just keep an eye on her. I just want to know if there is something else i could do to make her feel better. I dont think she's hurting that bad but I feel like a bad mom because this is the first time she ever hit her nose or any part of her body. I was always careful and now I feel like I need to do more than just keeping an eye on her. Please help me, should I put ice on her nose? It's not swollen right now, but it is still red.

my husband and I have a beautiful 9 month old baby boy, but he still doesnt have any teeth.I know that it is normal for some babies not to have teeth at this age and we are not worried about it, but I was wondering how old were your children then they started teething?

What is the best solid food to begin babies on, and why?

Also what is the best age for babies to begin solid foods, and why?

Scientific evidence is preferred over anecdotal evidence and personal experience, however I won't automatically dismiss those answers. Please provide links to research and/or articles if they are available, or list whatever resource you are using in answering this question. Thanks.

My 12 month old has had this rash for almost 2 weeks now and I have tried everything I can think of. Desitin, Balmex, Babypowder, cornstarch, vaseline(my mother made me), etc. Everytime one of those cleared it up it came right back and whatever I used wouldn't work anymore. He has a doc appt. in 2 weeks but is there anything that I can do until his appt.? I know the doc will be able to help but right now it just hurts him so much, he is starting to hide when he knows he needs to be changed and I can't get him to sit in anything that has something in between his legs, even his highchair. Any advice would be great, I just can't stand seeing his little tears because it hurts so much.
