Newborn & Baby - September 2006

I used a nipple shield today (been using it for a month now under lactation consultant's advice).. but anyways today I ended up with this weird blister on my nipple! It hurts so bad! It doesn't help that I already have thrush... how can I make this blister go away quick?

It is coming from her vagina, about a nickel size everytime i change her diaper, its not diaper rash, its mucosy blood is this normal? I plan on calling my doctor in the morning so please dont advise me to, if this is normal how long should this go on for?

I see people shake babies all the time to stop them from crying, but it's supposed to be harmful. The babies are still alive & well.

My three month old daughter is settling into a routine but it is quite unpredictable. I would like to set up a schedule for her that is flexible yet fairly consistent. She is a breast feed baby and she eats about every three to four hours.

My 5 month old recently discovered how to YELL! basically she just start yelling and wil;l do it for like an hour,nothing seems to be wrong because she'll laugh if somethings funny she will get quiet and than just start yelling.she was doing it in the store today wich some people thaught it was really funny but some were like "is she ok" I've never heard a baby do this, has any one had any experience with this?

I am looking for a nice, but not totally expensive (say under $300) double stroller that will seat two babies with one side able to carry a baby carrier.
Note: I have a Graco stroller and baby carrier now, so it would be ideal if it could carry a Graco baby carrier (infant carseat) but it doesnt have to.
Do you have any suggestions?
Do you have a stroller you just love, what kind is it?
I think I prefer the kind that are front and back seated, not side by side. I see people trying to push those things around and they are so wide they don't fit many places, do you have that problem if you have one of those?

I'm a stay at home mom (for now anyway) so the TV is always on and my boy loves to watch it (he's 2 months), think maybe it's because of the colors and stuff?? even during tummy time, he actually lifted his head 90 degrees and most of his chest so he could look at it.. I have noticed that he's pretty nosey though, needs to know everything that's going on.. Just wonderin if other babies do it too?

all she does is pay attention to the baby. she basically breastfeeds the baby to sleep then goes to sleep herself. the babys only two days old and it already sucks to be a parent. what should i do so she like pays more attention to me?

How much rice cereal and water/formula would you give 4 1/2 month old to start with. he is only drinking 4-5 oz of breastmilk every 3 hours. He does not sleep well day or night. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My son has been chewing on his fist and fingers,tries to corner the bottle nipple to chew on in his mouth.When feeding doesnt want bottle just wants to gum it.I say teething my husband says no.I put my fingers on his gums and he chews on them and likes it when I rub his gums.He has had some diarrhea,and is a bit warm on occasions.What do you think?

I have a ten month old daughter and I have tried so many brands, everything leaks. She always wakes up soaked oas she is playing end up with poop on her. What brand have you found works best. I have tried: Pampers baby dry, Huggies (not supreme yet), Luvs, White Cloud, Dry Bottoms, the albertsons brand. Help maybe I need to put a rubber cover on her tush?
