yes, all babies are different and when they open the eyes varies. I mean hello- they've been in a much darker world for the past nine months. Some babies come out nosy and open the eyes right up, others wait. If it continues and you are concerned, talk to your doctor.

It can take a few days for them to open up their eyes. Their faces get smished and can then puff up after delivery, the drops that hospitals put in their eyes can also make them puffy. It's not unusual.

I took about 3 days for my son to open his eyes and look at me... I believe he was just so sensitive to the light, before he finally opened his eyes on that third day the only other time he opened them was to look at Daddy after they put that clear stuff in his eyes, I didn't see it that time of course 'cause I was knocked out from all the drugs......... damn c-section!!

Probably but maybe they are opening them and you are missing it. If the doctor has no concerns then you can relax.
Try gently tickling their foot or face to get them to open. If they don't and they are awake call the doctor and ask for advice.

i honselty dont know...i ahve never heard of that..when my sister was born she came out sucking her thumb....so anythings possible
