Thank you very much everyone for the answers! This Yahoo Questions site is such a great resource!

I swear this child is going to be the end of me. :) I find myself worrying about even the smallest things. :)

Our baby is now happily sleeping. :) I just spent the last hour holding her in the bathroom near the running shower (my wife was taking a shower). Thanks again!

Haha - fond memories! My daughter, now 6 months, did this all the time. She would turn herself every which way trying to look into the lamps. I joked a few times and called her a moth. She wouldn't even look at me when I talked to her if we were near one! Well anyway, this is completely normal. I don't know why it is, I guess they're just discovering all sorts of cool things about their world at that age. Good luck with your baby! :)

Yes, completely normal, he's just beginning to see. Our little guy did that and also had a fascination for ceiling fans. Even sometimes still he stares at the ceiling fan, and he's going on 4 years old!

This is completely normal. My daughter is 3 months old and she STILL stares at ceiling lights and flames all the time. I guess it's very new to them and bright, easy for their little eyes to focus on. Don't worry about it!!

That is completely normal. My son would stare at the ceiling fan and smile and jabber for a long time.

I think it's perfectly normal. Our daughter has had an obsession with the ceiling fans in our house since birth!

yes, it's bright. They also like to look at ceiling fans and move there head. It's kinda funny. My son was preoccupied for hours with a ceiling fan.

Yup, completely normal. The lights are the most interesting thing to look at when you're faced that way anyway.

They may like the lights. Still have their vision checked by the doctor. Take your finger and see if their eyes move with it. Try to get them to response to movement and other objects.
