My first grandaughter is 3 months old and you are describing her. She got a fever a couple days ago and since it is my daughters first baby she rushed her to the doctor lol and yes, she is teething.

It's quite possible that your little guy will be teething soon.....some doctors and other parents will tell you "no", but we have to remember that each child is different. My son is also three months, and he's been displaying the same habits as your son since he was about 9 weeks old. He has never been a cryer, and lately he has beginning to be a little more whiny and clingy...I'm guessing that he'll be going through this until his teeth actually start to come through. I suggest that you keep a teething ring and/or wet cloth handy so that he can chew on it...this helps to soothe my little boy. You can even try wetting the cloth and putting it in the freezer for a bit.

Sounds like teething to me. When you rub the gums keep feeling for bumps. That is where the teeth will pop thru. Usually on the bottom.

My oldest child was 2 months old with her first teeth. My grandson just cut his first teeth and he is 3 months old. It is not unheard of. Just be warned. Once a tooth pops out the others seem to follow like popcorn popping.

My daughter started teething at about 2 1/2 - 3 months. She is now 6 months old and still hasn't popped a tooth. Get ready for a long, wet, cranky haul.

If he is drooling ALOT, then he is for sure teething. Try getting him an inexpensive teether to put in the fridge (make sure you put it in a baggie to keep it sanitary) and hold it in his mouth for him, he'll enjoy it whether or not he is teething.

Since he does have diareah make sure you keep him hydrated with some pedialyte (water it down), and get him to his pediatrician if its persistant just to make sure he's OK. He may need a suppository to rid him of the diareah. Don't worry, it sounds a lot worse then it really is, but its a pill that I dubbed as the "Butt Bullet" because its some kind of pill that they put in baby's bum that dissolves and eases the runny poo.

my daughter teethed at three months and sprouted 2 teeth, she had 8 teeth by 6 months and a full set at 1 year. so yeah it happens. that sounds exactly the same way my daughter did. so its a possibility.

My 9 month old son did the same thing.....yet it's 6 months later and we still have no teeth and still do all the same teething motions. I just hope he gets one soon.

It is not unheard of, but unlikey. I thought the same when my son was 3mths. Dr said no. He had some sort of cyst, Dr said very common. If baby has fever and diarreha, have him seen by Dr, could have infection.
