Just wondering if anyone has any tips on getting my baby to sleep better. I did not know if having a fan in the room would help. He is 4 1/2 months and everybody keeps telling me it will get better, but I am beginning to doubt this. I am tired and don't know what to do. Please help.

I live in Gran canaria and my son had a high tempereture last night so i took him to the doctors as he is only 4 months old and they gave him a cold bath and i was made to leave him in cold water for 20 mins i was heart broken he screamed the whole time. I never heard of this in the uk is there any other way and does anyone agree that it is best not to put a baby in cold water for that long?

i have an 8 month old son. lately, when he goes to bed, he wakes up soaked from his urine. i have tried "tucking" his penis every direction but he still wakes up soaked.
he's 20lbs and using stage 4 diapers. i thought these were big enough for him. at least they seem to fit snuggly. i just can't figure out what i'm doing wrong with his nightly diaper.
anyone else experience something similar or the same and any suggestions on what i am doing wrong!?!?

my newborn son was born very light skinned but his ears are darker than his skin. why is this?

Or do you think it's too dangerous? I'd shorten it to 12" and let her only wear it during the day.
Any other cute ideas besides ear rings?

I am a british citizen, been living in the US for 7 yrs. i am going back to the UK because my US visa has expired. I am 4 months pregnant and the father is american. He has to stay in the US because of his job. We want for me and the baby to come back to the US. Can this happen? Or is it better for me to just stay here and have the baby?

I have read about the positives of baby sign language, but does it discourage the baby from learning to speak? If the baby can get what he/she wants by signing, does he/she still try to talk as quickly as non-signing babies?

Can I get these tablets that I've heard a lot of people recommend in Canada? I've looked for them at Shoppers Drug Mart and at A&P, but I haven't seen them.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a subscriber (normally) to the cry-it-out method. HOWEVER, I am desperate right now. My 6 month old will not sleep during the day today. She is teething and I've tried to keep her comfortable (oragel, tylenol, teething rings, all when needed, but not exceeding the recommendations on the packaging), but I can not get her to take a nap. She has always been a horrible sleeper; her naps are usually no longer than half an hour to 45 minutes. But she does usually take a nap every 2 hours. Today she woke up at about 8 and it is now 1:30 and she has yet to take a nap. I did get her to sleep at around 11, but my dog barked and woke her up.

Finally, my question -

For those of you who use or used the cry-it-out method, did you use it for naps as well, or just at night?

I know a similar question has been asked before, but...

My 6 month old daughter has always been a spitter-upper, but the last couple of weeks she seems to be spitting up way more and way more often than usual. She's not sick and doesn't seem hungry between feedings. She is mostly breastfed; however, I am weaning her off, so right now we are up to 3 bottles of formula and 4 feedings of breastmilk per day. I also give her a small amount of rice cereal and a small amount of fruits or vegetables in the evening. She has been teething since 3 months, with no teeth yet, and that seems to be increasing in intensity the last few days as well.

Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm not so much worried about her as it is just a hassle to clean her, me, her clothes, my clothes, the floor, the couch, etc, after every time I feed her.

She is totally bored of rice cereal and oatmeal, mixed it with fruit and all sorts. I stuck for ideas, she only has 2 teeth is is not ready for toast things as she chokes. When can they try things like yoghurt?

My friend just lost her baby 3 days ago. Her funeral is in 2 days. Would it be okay to give her a personalixed box frame to keep some of the baby's things? I think it might help her to know someone cares as well as to remember her baby.
