of course every child develops differently - but here goes - possibly sitting up when you put her in that position, repeated noises from lips, clap hands nod head point finger , cry when you leave able to suck fingers and put food (banana ) in mouth , rock to music begin to scooch on floor, turn head in direction when calling her name

Gross Motor: Rolls over both ways, Sits supported in high chair, Bears almost all weight when standing, Pushes chest off floor with hands while on tummy

Fine Motor: Lifts cup by handle, Reaches persistently for things, rakes up cereal with fingers against palm

Language: Smiles and Vocalizes to mirror image

Social: Expresses protest, discriminates strangers, first seperation anxiety appears

Each child develops at a different rate but these are where an average 6 month old is developmentally

My daughter sat up assisted, rolled over, drank from a sippy cup with assistance, helped hold her bottle, turned her head to a noise, and rocked on her hands and knees. She also did the sort of whalrus thing where she flopped around and scooted on her belly.

She was a bit behind for along time but now she does everything at 14 months that an 18 month old would do except for speech. (She's right on target with that)

Every child is different. Don't worry. By 18 she'll be staying out too late, talking too much, and spending too much! lol

My daughter was crawling and sitting up independantly. Getting from stomach to sitting, pulling up on furniture and cruising a little! Yeah, she's a little advanced for her age, but every baby is different. i think it depends on how much time you spend wth your child, encouraging these things. Mine had lots of supervised tummy time, so she was rolling really early and had great head control by the time she was1.5 months.just enjoy your baby!
