Yes. Completely normal. My daughter didn't really start eating solid foods well until 10 or 11 months old. My brother-in-law didn't start eating solids until he was 12 months old.

Yes. Despite the fact that many babies start solids at 6 months or earlier, many babies are not interested in solids for many months after that. I would continue to offer solids, once a day, but don't push too hard. My son never really cared much for solids until he had enough teeth for chunks he could pick up. Come to think of it, I don't remember him every really liked me feeding him anything on a spoon (he's almost 2 now).

No, that is not normal.... How much are you feeding her breastmilk wise? If she is getting too much, she will be too full for solid foods. She should be eating 3-4 jars of food a day. Try offering less breastmilk and more food, or maybe she doesn't like the meatloaf and sweet potatoes. Try different flavors until you find something she likes.

Trust your mother's instincts....if your baby is gaining weight normally, then don't worry about it.
My daughter wouldn't eat solids till she was about 10 months old. I tried EVERYTHING, until I found that she like cottage cheese, chicken, and sweet potatoes.
Don't worry about it. Your baby is getting your immunity from the breastmilk. My daughter was breastfed until 13 months, and she never had to have anti-biotics till she was about 6 years old (first grade). She was a very healthy baby!

I dont think it's unusual at all. I work at a daycare specifically working with infants and there is one young one who is 11 months who absolutely refuses solids. But..... everyday am snack, lunch and pm snack we try the solids. Yes, they may hate the new and unusual textures with a passion but with consistent help with solids during meals, sooner or later he/she will pick up on it. It's important at this age for the child to begin solids. Very important for growth!!!!

No. they should have been introduced to pablum by now. All three of my children were nursed and while they were never very interested in many other liquids, they did eat food. How often are you nursing? If you nurse very often and completely on demand, your child won't have any interest in food. Are they getting other liquids? Try letting them suck on Arrowroot cookies to get his/her mouth ready for something other than the breast. By 12 mos. they should be eating many of the Jarred (or homemade) baby food; they need the vitamins in the foods. Consider seeing your paediatrician and good luck.

Yes they need to be introduced to the beginner diet of fruits and veggies and rice cereals, they are growing and need the extra vitamins. It could be the baby enjoys the bonding too much at feeding time...try a little pablum on your breast to get them interested in the taste and go from there.
