We want to have a little birthday party, nothing big. We are just excited about it and I know she won't remember it, but she will have fun seeing everyone! Did you do anything for your little one's 1st?

For my daughter we decorated her highchair, and the whole house. We also had tons of balloons in bunches everywhere. I decorated the night before so when she woke up it would be really exciting for her.

We bought her about 10 presents and saved them for when we had her little party. We had a few neighbor kids over for cake and icecream and so they could open her presents for her. She wasn't really into the present opening or knew what to do so watching the other kids rip through them was more excitment for her and she did want it once it was opened!!!

After that we let all the kids help blow out her candle and then that was it. We took lots of pictures and I cried that my baby was one already.

You can also make plain cupcakes and have a station where all the kids can get in a line and make their own cupcakes. You could buy sprinkles, different colored icings, fruit for them to decorate with. Your little one will love watching all the kids do this and like on for her self :)

*She may not remember her 1st Birthday, but she will enjoy the day and have fun while it lasts. Just b/c she won't remember doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything......You'll take pictures and tell her the story of what you guys did to celebrate her turning 1* I bought a cute album that said Babys 1st Birthday.

Of course you are excited and have every right to be. It's such a great time, she's learning all sorts of new things every day, learning to walk, certainly a lot to celebrate. We did a small celebration with family and a few close friends, some of whom had little ones as well. Cake, ice cream, presents... the pictures are so much fun to look back on, especially the adorable little face just covered in cake! Have fun!

well I know you said nothing big but the 1st birthday you should really do something big or if you really acnt do anything big just make sure there alot of ballons and the cake is beautiful because those are the most inportant things if you want see if someone will do face paniting for you just get a face painting kit from some where but dont really get a clown because kids are are scared at that age trust me I know my daughter just turned 1 and I never seen so many children running and crying.

I don't have kids of my own yet, but I remember my younger brother's first birthday. My mother placed a slice of cake in front of him and we sang him Happy Birthday. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of baking him a chocolate cake. He put his face right into it, and also grabbed multiple handfuls before we could take it away from him. Afterward, my mother bathed him and the bath water was brown.

Many memories came from his first birthday, especially since I couldn't remember my own.

I want to tell you that i just went to My friend's baby;s first birthday party .They rented a hall and had just about everything you could have and to tell you the truth it was too much. All you really need is your family and friends to celebrate the day with you .It's not about the money you spend , Just a small intimate day with cake and ice cream.........

For our first born's first, we all got the flu and the party was off. For our second born's first, we had a nice bbq with family. We still have some of the gifts he got that day and enjoy the memories associated - back then, in the good old days when we still lived in a democracy and my father was still alive.

I had all the relatives over and did a "teddy bear" theme. Very easy, just get all the Teddy Bears out, put party hats on them, and serve "Teddy Grahams" for snacks and decorated the cake with Teddy Grahams, etc. It was alot of fun!

We took our little boy to the local leisure centre, he spent the whole day on the soft play. Then we visited both our parents houses. It was a lovely day, planned just for him. I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be lovely and remembered by you.
