Sure is, let him sleep. He is adjusting to a totally new way of existing. He as to breath for himself, eat and excrete. All new things.

That is perfectly normal. Infants Eat, Sleep, and Poop that is all they do all day long for about the first 2-3 weeks. It is perfectly normal. Let him sleep. Don't let him sleep more than four hours though. He needs to eat every four hours or he might start to loose weight. Don't worry he will grow out of this stage soon and you will be wishing that all he did was sleep...lol

Congrats! My boy is due this week....
Yes it is VERY normal, babies grow while they sleep, so don't worry at all, it's a sign of good health and well-being...Imagine if it was the other way round, your baby wouldn't sleep...that would be a real nightmare, no? Enjoy the time he sleeps, you'll have plenty awake times later.

Absolutely normal....don't fret. Just enjoy the bit of peace your getting 'cos when he starts wriggling around you won't have a minute to yourself and then the trouble will start!!. If your not sure have a quick word with your Health Visitor - that's what their there for. Good luck.

yes it is totally normal, babies are supposed to sleep the majority of the day for the first few months of life. as your son gets older he will start sleeping less and less, so enjoy your time while you have it.

Cherish this time! I used to get so board with my son when he was that new, but they get exciting very fast. He is just trying to recover from delivery. This is what he is going to do for a while, so make the best use of this time as you can!
