He won't get diaper rash...those diapers are so absorbant the wetness won't be touching his skin. My son was sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night at 2-1/2 weeks...no diaper rash. Its fine. If you are concerned...put some bum cream on him before you put him to bed.

As long as you have decent diapers, even generic ones are good, he'll be fine sleeping that long without getting a rash. Babies and toddlers will only develope a rash if the diaper is hardly changed throughout the day, for several days. During the day, keep changing when you can tell he's wet. There are "night time" diapers you can put on him too that are super absorbant, just to make yourself feel better, but they're not needed. Since he's such a little one, he won't be able to produce that much 'wetness' anyways. It's when they get to be 2 and 3 that they go a lot more.

Diaper rash is not the end of the world. A little corn starch powder clears it right up, and it's usually not very uncomfortable for the baby. Diapers are super absorbant these days if you use disposable, so just change him when he wakes.
Be glad he's sleeping so well. In fact, at this rate, he should start sleeping longer soon, so just relax and enjoy.

It's probably ok. Just use a high-quality extra-absorbent diaper right before bedtime and lather on the diaper ointment. Be extra vigilant in checking for redness each morning, and change it more frequently at night at the first sign.
DON'T use baby powder - ever. The talc is bad for the baby's lungs.
Lucky you - only 2 months old and already sleeping 7-8 hours!?! Can we trade? (just kidding!)

He probably just feels that he has nothing to cry about. My first never cried when he was wet or dirty, he would be content to sit in poop all day! Also, maybe he doesn't have a chance to get hungry because you feed him on a schedule. My second is a few months older than yours (10 months), but sometimes he eats often, other times, he'll go 4 or 5 hours without a snack. Maybe try feeding him when he gives you signals, see if that helps. If not, you may want to talk to your doctor just to ease your concerns. I wouldn't worry about any major problems probably, because you said he smiles, which is a way of communicating. So, he is getting his message across =) Also, does he point at things yet? When he starts doing that, that is also a way of telling you what he wants! Good luck =)

He will probably be just fine, but I swore by an occasional dose of Desitin. By boy got a diaper rash once and this stuff cleared him up in one dose. You can put some on occasional and you can also use Vaseline, both help seal the skin against excess moisture, while adding vitamins. Good luck to you.

In order to prevent this, I used good old petroleum jelly, each time I changed my daughter's pamper! She NEVER got diaper rash!! It worked wonders for me. It's not as expensive as diaper rash ointments and creams. Store brand and Vaseline petroleum jelly are the same exact thing! Store brand is just cheaper! If your like me...and trying to save every penny you can...go with the store brand! I get tubes of it from my local Target for only 97 cents!

He should be ok, if he is sleeping through the night just leave him and change as soon as he wakes up, diapers these days are designed to keep the wetness away from babies skin.

I'm sure it's possible. I'd check the diaper every so often while he's asleep to make sure it's dry. If he's used to having it changed after six hours of sleeping, maybe you should check him about then. I'm glad he's sleeping good for you.
