I have a 10 month old with 6 baby teeth. Although he likes to stick his toothbrush in his mouth, he hates his teeth being cleaned and just closes his mouth tightly! Any suggestions? And, how often do you need to clean a baby's teeth?

My son will be three months old on the 30th of this month and he eats on his hands or his blankets all the time. He has also started to drool alot. I don't remember my daughter teething this soon. Could someone please let me know if a baby can start teething this soon. He also enjoys it when I rub his gums with my fingers.

Hello, everyone. I am a nanny for twin baby boys. They are almost eight months old and can sit up unassisted for roughly an hour and stand with help for 15 or so minutes. However, when they lay on their stomachs they can come up to the position of crawling, but they don't go anywhere. They can scoot backwards and roll around indefinitely. How can I help them begin to crawl? Thank you!

There is a popular movement which encourages parents to teach their babies to sign as early as possible. Proponents of this movement suggest that babies are able to learn and communicate in sign language well before they are able to communicate using spoken words.

I had a 2nd degree tear and was stitched but I have noticed in between that a small pink piece of something is sticking out and when I wipe a certain way it gets to bleeding a small bit..will this heal on its own? Anyone else had this kind of problem - stitches not healing right or coming apart? Its been almost 7 weeks since I had my baby. I went to my 6wk checkup and she seemed to not even really look and said it was fine..which totally ticked me off.

my sister-in-law had a baby last August 18, and seems over protective. The chaos began last Wednesday, when my brother came to my house with the baby. You see they changed his diaper, and gave them 3 oz. of milk. But after the milk the baby continued crying loudly and sucking his left hand intensely, my mom told them to give the baby another onze of milk, so they fed the baby. The kid didnt stop. So my mom told the parents to give the baby a pacifer, the both of them refused to do so, since the pediatrician said "no" (without any explanations) So today they brought the kid again. This time the mom of the kid hardly talked to us, and she told me they fed the baby in their house and changed him, in hopes he wouldnt wake up, since she would never give the baby a pacifer, even if we suggested it, and that because of the extra onze of milk the kid threw up on Wednesday 4 times. I recently found an article that says that pacifers help prevent "SIDs" Which side should I took?

My daughter doesn't sleep during the day unless I'm rocking her to sleep in the glider. Any ideas? I think she is too little to lay her in her bed and let her cry herself to sleep. I don't think I could do that yet. Thank you!
