It's nothing to worry about. She may actually have some discharge as well. It is caused by hormones and it will go away. I know a new baby will throw you into a complete panic but that is nothing to worry about. Congratulations on your new little angel

My baby started to get some breast tissue too for a couple months after she was born. I don't know exactly when it went away, but she's now 5 Months and it's been gone for at least a month and I've been nursing the whole time.

Always follow your intuition if you really think there's something wrong though. Get a second opinion if you think it's something other than breast tissue caused by the hormones.

At 2 weeks this is perfectly normal. They may last for a few weeks, a few months or as happened to my daughter, her breast lumps never did go away. The Doctor was puzzled and slightly concerned but there was no treatment.

Ask your doc when they will go away, feel free to ask him about any concerns you have, ask lots of questions, after all, he'll know more than anyone else. If your concerns are not comforted & you're still worried, go to a different doctor to get a second opinion.

My niece had the same problem when she was born. The doctor said to many of the mothers hormones got into her system and they just need to work their way out. She did have some discharge but eventually everything was fine. My sister was worried too. It is normal to worry but trust your doctor, everything will be fine.

Doc is right! Isn't it strange? Happens to baby boys too! Don't worry about it one bit!

she's pretty cute! congratulations :)

it's true, it's nothing for you to worry about (easier said than done, I know) but it is quite common and will go down with time.
