Tell daddy to get his priorities straight and quickly or he can only visit the baby outside his home. As parents you will have to make an effort to work together in the raising of your child. It is not safe or healthy for the cat to have free reign wherever it wants when the baby is there. The cat will think the baby is taking over the cat bed.I think daddy does get it he just doesn't care.

I totally agree with SweetS. In addition, you could treat the pram, wheels and all to a diluted but thourough misting/rub down of a citrus essential oil - preferably orange. Cats don't like citrus, orange peels and such. This could repel the cats a bit, and still be safe for baby.

you need to lay down the law. tell your husband that the cat is NOT allowed to be in the pram (like a baby carriage). cats can have fleas or worms that can be harmful to your child, or your baby might be scratched on accident by the cat. tell him if you catch the cat in the pram with the baby again, you're going to notify the court system to unsafe living arrangements. which, really, you should do anyways if he has a messy house. it is unsanitary and unsafe for babies.

It's a popular misconception, though, that cats suck out a baby's breath or intentionally smother babies. "I've never seen anything about cats smothering babies in the pediatric journals," Kenneth Polin, M.D. a pediatric specialist with Town and Country Pediatrics in Illinois, notes. "It's one of these urban legends."

"THE whole house is Not very clean? Animal hair ect"

Call CPS and get him out of there for good.

And for the person who wasn't sure about the word Pram? It's a stroller.

Short of shooting the cat (which is what I would do) you going to have to convince this idiot that the cat can cause sickness and parasites in your son. Cats love warm faces and the smell of milk. Horrid things - people that let animals inside. Easier to kidnap the cat and pretend it wandered off to die someplace.

KEEP YOUR BABY AT HOME WITH U IF HE WANTS TO SEE HIM HE COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND U CAN SO THAT

FOR ONE THE BABY IS BEING TAKEN TO A POOR UNSAFE ENVIOREMENT DUE TO THAT FATHER'S LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY

CATS CONTRACT ALL KINDS OF DISEASES I MEAN WHO WOULD HAVE A CAT SLEEP NEAR, OR WHERE THEIR BABY LAYS TO REST I MEANS
WTF

EITHER HE CLEANS THE PLACE OR COME SEE BABY WHERE U ARE

AND HIS FAMILY I MEAN IF THEY'RE JUST AS TRIFE AS HE IS LET THEM STAY WHERE THEY ARE WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK
THIS BABY IS A PROJECT OF U TWO SO WHAT THEY SAY DONT MATTER ALL THAT FILTH CAN REALLY HURT THAT BABY KEEP EM AWAY AND WHAT KIND OF DADDY TAKE BABY OUT BEFORE PET
I WOULDVE PUNCHED HIS ASS

KEEP YO WITH U AND DADDY COME VISIT
AND THATS THAT.

Uh, I'd from reading your question that the cat is the least of your son's problems, if you get what I mean...and you probably don't.

is he crazy, you never let a cat sleep with a newborn baby.. they can suffocate them.. call family services anonymous. that will at least get someone out there to check the health conditions..

If you have a good relationship with your ex's mom, you could ask her if she is concerned about that situation. Your ex may not listen to you, but he may listen to HER...

Best of luck!
