I agree with your pediatrician! However I can understand your concern. Have you tried the ol' mashed banana?
Every individual is different...your little one is already showing her personality. Since you have another child, you know how fast they grow! You know she will eat eventually.
I am sure she is growing, she is healthy and a well loved and happy baby. Obviously you're a great mom, responding to your children well and worrying like crazy about them!!
She'll eat! She will...in the meantime, you're fortunate to be able to give her the nutrition she needs, direct from mommy!!
All the best!

That is frustrating! The window of largest reception of solids is between 6 and 8 months. My daughter took solids well at 6 months and a week or so. Being exclusively breastfed, she doesn't even need solids until a year old. I know this doesn't help much, but just don't rush it. Before you know it, she'll be wanting more solids and less of you and that is more heartbreaking that you think! PLUS you might get to skip the whole hassle of baby food and she'll go straight to table food.

I know its frustrating. As long as your baby is alert and interacting in other ways and keeping an average weight I would not worry.
two of my babes walked at 9 and 11 months and the last not till 16 and 1/2 months and then only after being coaxed for several minutes to walk for daddy as a birthday present to him. Once she did this she made up for lost time.... each child is different...
teething and intro of food has many months veriation.
my granddaughter is a rather picky eater but her bro eats anything...
It may just be her temprament. You could try letting other people care for her for lengths of time that would necesitate a bottle or sip cup... but my advice would be to just pick your battles and remain observant. as long as she is thriving in other ways the eating will come. but let the child lead.

As long as your child is healthy, you really don't need to worry about it. At her age, food is more of a discovery thing than neccessary for nutrition. All kids are different, but trust your pediatrician. You don't want to push your child into food if she's not ready. Don't worry, she'll let you know.

Clearly your little one just loves the warmth and comfort of the breast. Just keep trying different foods. Try about 30 minutes after a feeding, because if your baby is hungry, she won't want anything but the breast. Try singing to her, playing airplane games--whatever. Just be patient. My daughter was really fussy with solids for a long time, but finally, she just was hungry so she ate. Just be persistent and keep trying different foods.

At 12 months you can choose to worry or cut back feedings to 2 times a day to encourage eating but at 8 months I wouldnt worry too much I think its a phase I have seen many breast fed children go through it.

A lot of times it just takes finding one particular thing that the baby will like before they will switch over. Also, if you had your second child directly after your first one that could be the reason the first switched so, quickly.

You do not to worry so much because your are providing for her the best food in the world which is priceless breast milk and i know its important to give her some other food but slowly don't push her too much on new food for her and the moment the breast milk is OK for her so keep it up ..........nothing to worry .

Just keep offering a variety of healthy foods. As long as she is growing well, she'll be fine. Are there any changes in your household? Perhaps she is nursing for comfort. In periods of stress, or change, my kids nursed a bit more.
