I have a 34-week preemie too. I've read that most ''older" preemies (32 weeks +) catch up by the end of their first year. So 1 year is usually long enough to adjust their age.

Ive got a 7 month old who was 5 weeks early (6 months corrected) they say SOME preemies develop to there "real" age by 6 months to 2 years but every baby is DIFFERENT and it also depends on if theres any other problems
MY little one is doing most things for hes AGE but there are still some things that hes developing and hes still quite small at just on 13 lbs
Just remember every child develops at different stages whether or not they were early

My daughter was born 12 weeks early & the age the children's hospital gave me (for her to catch up with full term babies) was 3 years old. You should bare in mind that Preemies come with thier own set of issues, as an example my daughter's bladder wasn't the proper size until she was 7 years old.
Good Luck...my Preemie is now 13 & is almost as tall as I am!

I had my son at 33 weeks and his doctors stopped adjusting his age when he turned 1. But like what the other's have said, it all depends on the child. Congrats on your new baby.

I believe for the first year. Developmenatally he should start to balance out around 2 with his peers.
I could be wrong, Most premies I've delt with were either not that early, or they werent in my care past the first year.
