Our son is 9 months old (almost 10) and we've been giving him nothing but sippie cups, and I was just wondering if that was ok? I mean is it bad to take him off the bottle early when he has no problem with the sippies? Please help

he is 7 and sleeps with his collection of about 9 stuffed toys each nite. he names each one and cuddles, kisses, ect with each one before bed. he acts as though the have feeelings and crys if my bf or i punch the stuffed toy or toss it around. is this normal? is he going to bwe a plushie when he gets older? i just am worried about him.

my son has alot of books and enjoys looking and "reading" them with me and he has 2 in paticular that he enjoys the most and when I name the titles of the book he goes and searches for them in the pile and brings it to me! I just thought that was impressive! Is this "normal" around this time? I just found it advanced, but I am new at this.

I am 27 weeks along and this is my first. I thought that I would feel most comfortable giving birth for the first time in the hospital just to play it safe. I have a lot of anxiety about giving birth. ALOT. I went today for a prenatal massage and it was so calming and relaxing and it made me think that there are different options for birth that may be more calming.

Can you play relaxing music in the birhting rooms at the hospital? Are there ways of making the birthing process more relaxing in the hospital? I have already decided that I am going to get an epidural to help with the pain. My husband will be there. Hopefully my mother will be there too - we bought her plane ticket and as long as my son doesnt come more than two weeks early then she'll make it. I want to make it as calm and relaxing as possible to try to keep my anxiety level at a minimum.

Can you please share your experiences or suggestions? Thank you!

I have a friend who had a baby today and she had a girl. Yay! The only thing that is a little sad for me is that I'm having a baby in a couple of weeks and it's going to be a boy. I thought it would be really fun for us to have babies together so they could be friends. I realize boys and girls can be friends, but it's not the same thing. I feel more sad because I have many friends, coworkers and family members with kids but literally, they all have girls. I'm feeling a little down about having a second son this time around. How can I get more excited about having another boy? I know that what matters is a healthy baby, I know that many people can't even have babies, I know all those things. Nonetheless, I still feel bummed right now. Any nice thoughts for me?

My daughter used to have a bowl movement after every feeding when i was nursing, however I had to quit nursing her and started to give her formula, she is not on a medication she has to take 3 times daily-that combined with her formula (i think its the combo of both) makes her constipated, for days she will not go, and only after the third day when i stick a thermometer up her butt will she go poop. Her poop is not formed, but its like putty, like a pasty texture..she is only 2 months old and cant have a laxative or whatever and switching her medication is not an option ( its for her heart)
any good tips on helping her poop?

ok i am 14 weeks pregnant. well almost 15 now. but before i found out i wieghed 170 at 5 foot 7. i was a little thick. not obese or anyting. i was happy with my weight. but now im almost 15 weeks pregnant and i weight 192 :[ i feel like a cow. and im not even half way through my pregnancy yet! i just feel like depressed, i've been trying not to let it get to me. but i dont know... my boyfriend doesnt think im fat at all. but now i think hes lying just to make me feel better. im not even showing yet. and I havent been eating junk food and crap. i've been eating healthy.

is it normal to eat everytime im hungry or are you supposed to ignor some? i havnt been bcuz when i dont eat i'll get so horribly sick and throw up yellow stomache acid.

how do i get out of the dumps? please no rude comments.

also i have heard of women loosing hair after child birth?! this scared me. did you loose hair? and if so how much? does this happen to everyone. or just some?

my dad says, no boyfriends, makeup, hair straightening, painting nails and toes, until im out of college. is this right?

ok, my grandma was talking to me and told me that, any kids are better than us! any of ur grandparents ever say that to you...i mean kids behave good around grown ups, but also want to act like themselves to ( they are staying w/us for 2 months. ) so we act as we normally do, and we get acussed for misbehaving, when we are not...help me what can i do with her, and talking to her doesnt help much, my mom knows, and is also getting really pissed (they made the house a mess)

any advice, to not getting angry and explode at them!!!???

Ok, this sound a bit wierd I guess, but I'm 12, and I don't have pierced ears, and, I know, most people get their ears pierced at a young age. But, my my mom told me that I couldn't get my ears pierced until I had matured over a problem, and it was about potty training, and it's hard to explain, but I matured over it at 11, right before my school started in late August, and I just haven't brought it up with my mom. I don't know how, my mom's 54, almost like a friend, and she got her ears pierced at 18, when her mom let her. I really want to ask her, because it stresses me to not ask her. I want to get it done at Claire's. And I really want to know how to bring it up. I'm not the coolest person in the 6th grade, but I'm not dull and dumb, theres only 2 girls in my class that don't have pierced ears, and they are smart, uncool, and one doesn't even WANT friends. Please give me conversation starters. Thanks!! :)

I have been trying to conceive for over a year with my husband. After going through numerous infertility tests, I was diagnosed with PCOS. My Dr. put me on 500mg of Metformin once a day and 50mg of Clomid on CD 3-8. After reading up on Metformin and dosage information, I saw that the dosages are usually increased each week. This concerns me because I will be on 500mg for a whole month with no increase. I would like to know if anyone has been on Metformin and Clomid at the same time, and if it worked for them and how long it took them to ovulate? Has anyone been on the same dosage as myself for a whole month with no increase?

I was also told to start my Clomid on CD 3-8. Well I thought I had gotten my period today because I had a little flow, then a few hours from then it disappeared and now I have very light spotting. Should I count this as CD 1? All of this is so confusing and frustrating!

I was wondering - how in this day and age people still let thier children roam around by themselves, dont people watch the news?
