To cut a long story short, when she first asked (aged 6) I told my daughter she couldn't get her ears done til she was 12.
Well, she's now 8, and all her friends seem to have had theirs done in the last year or 2. I have heard her telling her freinds she would love earrings but has to wait til she is 12, so I thought 'what the hell, I don't want her feeling odd-one-out'.
This morning, we went to the jewellers, under the guise of going for a necklace, and after she had chose one, I told her she could have any pair of clip-ons within a certain price range, or get her ears pierced.
The only part that was actually a decision for her was deciding which earrings she wanted to get pierced with.
Although the logical part of my head says "It's only earrings, most girls her age have them, and it was her choice" - I found it really difficult to let them do it, and even though she insists they don't hurt ("I can't even feel them"), it really upsets me to see her with studs in. Why is that?

They have told me that her mother has every right to see her, and by law she is aloud a minum of 3 weekdays and 2 nights per week, since she hasnt done anthing illegal. do you think this is corect or should i be calling a different lawyer. my daughter is 15, and even though she refuses to see her mother, (kye has no respect for the women that abonded her when she was 1 month old, and i dont blame her, but i have never influnced her choice about this, i have never ever spoken a single bad word about her.) my lawer said that if i do not allow her mother, and force my daughter to see each other, that lana could sue me. any help please??

i usually do the 'sitting on the lap' method..when i burp him he will drop back his head and pull up his leg, when i do the "over the shoulder' he will roll his head left and right, and i have to support his head which makes it hard for me to rub his back on both style..and I'm nervous on trying the 'on his tummy' method..any other way to burp him?

I have a 3 year old daughter who says "Mommy I'm hungry!" all the time. Like it's her favorite phrase. She says it right after she's done eating and whenever she sees other people eating. I've had family babysitters tell me that she complains about being hungry constantly. I know this makes it seem like I don't feed her, but she has very healthy eating habits. I'm afraid if the wrong person hears her cry about being hungry all the time someone will report me. Does anyone know of a way I can get her to stop saying this all the time?!

Well my first two births ended with me cracking my tailbone upon delivery but I think the cause was because I was in a semi sitting/laying position which in turn caused me to be pushing right down on my tailbone and because its curved funny, it cracked.....

Do you think that if I gave birth on all fours this time or squatting that it would help take the pressure off the tailbone and therefore possibly stop me hurting it?

It took like 4-6 months to heal properly with the other two kids so I really really don't want to go through that again!!

Any other birthing positions that could possibly help my situation?
The midwives at my hospital are pretty thick and not really into suggesting ways to make it easier for me, rather easier for them!

Thanks ladies and have a fantastic christmas tommorrow!!

Hello guys, I just gave birth to a little baby boy. I started to breast feed him. However, I feel my boobs kind of hurt, anyone in that situation? Am I making milk? I feel tender and yet my bottom is pretty sore. The doc gave me antibiotics & the other medicine to soften my poops. But somehow it hurts. I just discharged today after 3 days at the hospital. Share with me your experience please. Thanks. I would love to know more about it along with breast feeding & experience about the bottom. Thanks and Happy Holiday guys ^_^

I'm 31 weeks pregnant almost 8 mths. I have 2 cats and most people think that I should get rid of them because they'll try to steal the babies milk right out of there mouths. Is this true? Has anyone had cats and a baby at the same time has the cats tried to do this? It does scare me to think about it. I don't want to hear shame on me either. I need to know and if you have personal expierience (not old wives tales) then please tell me.

I have been waiting for my ex girlfriend to give me the news that she is NOT pregnant by telling me that she got her period. She has been overdue for 2 months. This morning she called and told me that after she went to the bathroom that she was bleeding. She put a tampon in and left it in all day and she said that when she took it out there was almost not a spot of blood on the whole tampon! She said that she started her period and that she stopped and that this has never happened before!! Today when I called her, I asked her how the period was coming and she said it hurt!! But now she has stopped bleeding all in the same day! What does this mean???

My fiance's son is very heavy for his age: about 120 pounds and 6 years old. I know what most of the problem is, overfeeding. He eats more than I do much of the time. Second helpings are the norm, even the first plate is more than I gave one of my children when they were 6. I have 3 kids, by the way. I have a couple of times expressed my concerns, but it doesn't seem to do anything. He simply excuses it by saying he is just going to be a big man. My fiance is 6'6". This kid has to hoist himself up off of the couch, and cannot run very fast, until you call him for dinner anyway. You could feed him, and 5 minutes later, he is saying that he is hungry. I worry about him, not because of the weight itself, but because of higher ris of illnesses. What should I do??
