my sister had a miscarriage at 8wks and it took her another 3-4 weeks later until she stopped feeling sick and her boobs stopped hurting and shrunk back down. Everyone is different but they say allow up to 6 weeks for the HCG levels in the body to return to normal and therefore making you feel better.
At 5 weeks it shouldn't take too long.

Best of luck and I'm very sorry for your loss. Take care of your gf she is going to need it and don't neglect yourself either.

She is most likely not pregnant anymore, since the Doctor confirmed the miscarriage. I'm sorry.
The sickness last for a few days more because all the hormones that built up in her system have to decrease over time. Hence, if she would do another home pregnancy test it would probably still show positive.
Good luck and I hope she feels much better soon!

It is probably because she still has a high amount of hormones in her body. Once a woman becomes pregnant there is an increase of hormones, which is what causes the morning sickness. If she isn't better soon, I would have her return to the doctor. There is medication that can help. She may also be dealing with the emotional issues associated with a miscarriage. Make sure you give her lots of love and support. Hope she is better soon!

I found out that I had a blighted ovum at 10 weeks with my last pregnancy. The doctor said that nothing had devoloped since 6 weeks except the sac. I had morning sickness and other symptoms the entire time, although compared to this pregnancy were mild. My only miscarrying symptom was some blood, but no pain or anything. I hope your baby is ok and that you are just off on your dates or something. Good luck!

She may continue to have morning sickness until the hormones are completely gone out of her system. May take up to 2 weeks in some instances. Doubtful if she is still pregnant.
Sorry for your loss.

She still has morning sickness probably because the pregnancy hormone is still slightly present. Within a few days her body will adjust to its normal self.

Sorry about the miscarriage
