The best, quickest way to do it is to just throw it in the bin and forget it ever existed. It might sound cruel and will take a few days to adjust to but there is no way to 'wean' a baby from a pacifier at that age.
Use distraction methods like toys, singing, tickling, nursing etc...to take their mind of it if they are getting unsettled. You will be really thankful in a week when you don't have to worry about the darn thing anymore!

Just take it away and don't turn back. Be strong and consistent after the fit they'll realise it's gone and they can't get it back.
EDIT: OK so maybe I should start reading ppl's answers to ?s and ppl's ?s b4 I answer. Hell I had no idea you were this type of person. You know there's treatment for the bi-polar, or spilt personality disorder :-\ just saying! Oh and since you set your's to private I can't tell if you have those problems but with multiple people saying it well ya never know. Leave me a death threat I enjoy a good laugh now and again :-)

Stop dipping her pacifier in your heroin stash and then she will not want her pacifier anymore. You are perfect at mothering anyway, why ask simple folk like us?

I think that its way too young to wean off a pacifier, I was told by my health nurse to drop the pacifier when you stop feeding milk as a primary source, so around the one year mark. It has to do something with the sucking reflex making it a soothing emotion, uh, I really dunno, but to really answer your question I'd say just start slowly replacing the habit with something else, instead of giving it to her when shes going for a walk, bring another toy, or when they hit their head and need comfort distract the baby with another toy or by making them smile (instead of sticking a soother in their mouth)

Don't take it away. The girl has to have something to soothe herself with having a mommy like you and all.
