Side effects include tons of things, weight gain, blood clots (rare in women under 35 who do not smoke) , headaches, dizziness, nausea, mood changes, irregular menstrual bleeding, and breast tenderness. Also she should try and take it within 30 min. of the same time everyday so it will be most effective.

-To be the most effective it is best that she takes it at relatively the same time everyday give or take an hour or so.
-Most women do not experience bad side effects but the most serious side effect are blood clots and a few of the more minor ones are dizziness, fatigue, tender breasts, slight weight gain/loss, nausea, vomiting and spotting between periods
-Just a few things that are good to know: smoking increases the risk of experiencing side effects, antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of birth control, birth control is only 99% when used properly so it's always good to have a back up method.

Hope it helps!

It's ok to take it within the same hour, even within the same day with some, but make sure she reads the package insert.
Side affect are rare, but the more serious ones like blood clots and stroke, are more prevelant in women over 35 and smokers.
Depending on which one she is taking you can probably visit their web site, too.
Again, the package insert is a good info source for most questions.

if she is taking the 'mini-pill' or a lower dose pill it should definately be taken within an hour time frame everyday.

If its the normal pill, full strength, taking it around the same time is fine. Like every morning or evening but if she forgets to take it in the morning you still have about 12hours as far as my doctor has told me in the past. If she normally takes it in the morning and forgets and does it at 5pm that is fine, but continue taking the next one the next morning as usual.

Remember that she should start taking it on the first day of her next period and you should use condoms for 4 weeks or until her next period because it takes that long to be considered 'safe'.

Side effects are numerous and depend on the person and type of pill ( there are litterally thousands of different pills) but can include..
Weight gain, breast size gain, acne, headaches, nausea, moodiness and many more but there are good things about the pill too. She should remember that if this pill doesn't agree with her to tell her doctor and they can change her to another type that might work better. It took me 4 goes to find the pill that works best for me when it comes to side effects.

Best of luck and good on you for protecting yourselves against pregnancy.

Normally doctors advice that you take it at the same time everyday MAINLY so you can remember to take it. Taking it an hour later or earlier than usual should not harm anything....

As far as side effects, for me they were only for the first month....There was weight gain, SORE HUGE breast, mood swings, fatigue, and dizziness.
It's different with everyone and as long as your girlfriend is healthy and the doctor said it was okay for her to get on birth control, then there really shouldn't be an abnormal side effects....

Also, remember that even the pill is not 100% eeffective

Within the same two hour block is OK. The most dangerous potential side effect is blood clots-the risk of this is low unless she smokes. Anything different she notices should be reported just to be safe until she's been on it awhile.

no exact time needed, as long as she takes it daily, better to take it on the same time (eg, after breakfast, before sleep, etc) so that she doesnt take it twice, or assume she took it already, but she didn't. side effects depend on the kind of pill she's taking. she'll eat more, she'll be moody sometimes, worst thing, is nausea, and headaches

It can make your peepee turn green if you have intercourse too close to the time she takes it. Wait 24 hours.
