It's ok. Not too common or uncommon, a little eighties though maybe. Everyone I know who's name is Erica is 20 or 30.

I rather like it, but then Eric is a family name on my side.
It's a nice, familiar name that isn't wildly popular right now. So even if it weren't a family name, I'd class it as one of those not-currently-hot, not-quite-classic names that you can always use ... kind of like Amanda or Jessica.
Plus it is feminine without being frilly.

No because it reminds me of my daughters friend who was always a pain in the fanny. And at 21 years old still is. Sorry...but I am sure there is a name that reminds you of someone you didn't like.

Not particularly, but more a dated overuse sort of aversion. After all, the name was so common a generation ago, it's difficult not to have quite a few negative associations, if you know what I mean.
I'd feel the same about Jessica, Jennifer, Nicole, Stephanie, Kimberly, Kelly, Michelle/Shelly, etc. I've just known far too many -- all now in their 20s and 30s -- to find them at all intriguing on an infant. ;)

My name is Erika. I don't mind it, it's just not my favorite name. I'm named after my dad, whose name is Erik.
My middle name is Victoria, and that's after 3 guys in my family whose names are Victor.

I really like it a lot. I have a friend named that, and it is a pretty name, but it is not flimsy or weak. Great pick!
