I never did, but then again lots of mine were friends' hand-me-downs already lovingly laundered!
I know lots of moms who do though. Part of the nesting process!

I would always wash baby clothes before they are worn and I would also seriously consider switching to organic baby clothes if possible because of the residue of chemicals left in cotton clothing after processing.
Around 150 grams of pesticides and fertiliser are used to grow the cotton for one T-shirt – this is the equivalent of one cup of sugar!

I always washed my kids' clothes before they wore them, as babies. New fabrics have chemicals on them, and who knows who has been touching them from the factory to the store?

I washed all my baby clothes in dreft, before he wore them. Not only do they smell good, but it is good to clean off germs before baby is exposed.
