in the month of october i made a choice and moved in with my fiance once he asked me to marry him. problem is that he still lives with his sister and her fiance (there getting married in sept.2008) he told me we get our own place but its been months now and im growing impatient. i really wanna start school and have a family (im always thinking about having a baby) i even wanna get a small dog. over and over we spoke about this but he always says "in given time" now im regretting even moving in or saying yes to his proposal. i tell him im moving back to my parents house and he whines and begs for me to stay (dumb me i do) now i dunno what to do. i feel hes trapping me from moving on with my life. hes a car salesman that works everyday from 7-8 except for wednsdays. so its not like hes there all the time. im currently looking for a job because i moved here and left everything behind just for him...now i feel it wasnt worth it...
any advice is good please give me something to learn from.

Im currently 39.5 weeks and due on the 4th. In my pregnancy class we learned that you can possibly make yourself go into labor by doing the 4 hots:

1. Sex
2. Hot Walk
3. Hot Shower
4. Hot Food (Spicey)

Have you heard of this working for any woman? My husband and I are thinking about giving them a shot on New Years Eve so we can try and have a New Years Baby.

Whats your opinion?

In previous years, we have went overboard with gifts for my son but he sometimes got so much it overwhelmed him...this year we got him a drum kit but only a few other smaller gifts like dvds and cds. i also told family members not to buy toys and to get him clothes or books cause to be honest they just arent appreciated. hes had the best xmas ever and has played with his drums constantly....why do parents keep buying their kids mountains of toys when the kids dont appreciate them?surely we are spoiling their characters by teaching them they can have anything they want?

My son does great with his formula now, but my husband was at the store and saw that it was really on sale and got LOTS of formula!! Except it was the wrong kind!!!

Do we have to waste it?? Or can we switch him now?

Will it bother him?

Do you feel that it is normal for a 5 year old (in this case, my boyfriends son - a boy), wets the bed at night? He rarely stays with his father, but when he is with his mother, she loads him up on drinks. She is never thinking about potty training him, atleast for now. Also, when my boyfriends son stays with him every now and then, he just HAD to sleep in the same bed? Isn't that bad? His mother, I feel, is not doing a good job raising him, since she is his care taaker. Thoughts on this?

OK, my name is Kelly & we want our daughters name to start with the letter "K." We have narrowed it down to 3 names which one do you like the best?? Thanks!

1.Kalli sounds like callie (not Kaylee)
2.Karlley
3.Kellsie

These 3 names can be spelled so many different ways also -- we're not set on the spelling of them yet!

I have just about had it with family. This includes my husband. I love him dearly but his ideas on weaning and breastfeeding went out with the wash many years ago. I have given him information from kellymom and other sites that support extended breastfeeding and the benefits therein. Yet, he wants me to wean.

My family nearly attacked me on X-Mas day about this same issue. They do not understand that baby IS STILL benefiting from the breastmilk and it is keeping her healthy.

For those that have issue you need not apply.

She is 16 months old, eats 3 meals a day and snacks. She has been on a sippy cup full-time since she was 7 months old and took that instead of a bottle when I am at work.

She is going through sep. anxiety right now and this is not a good time. I had hoped to draw my husband out until at LEAST 18 mo. but he is getting impatient. He is not seeing the benefits of breastmilk.

I am annoyed that to me, everyone is backwards- it makes baby happy- why not?

I'm having some seriously sharp pains, like lightning bolts shooting in my vagina and pubic area, and a lot of pressure there as well, and heavier discharge than normal. I have a doctors appointment today, but what could this be? Should I ask her about it? Is this the beginnings of labor?

My g/f told me yesterday that she's pregnant. We've been dating for 5 years, I'm 27 and she's 31. We were being safe when we had sex, she was on the pill, but I guess it's not 100% effective.

I realize I'm old enough to be a father and I would def be responsible but I'm not at the point in my life right now where I want a kid to raise. I want to wait until I've a little further in my career. I love my g/f and I will support her but I'm not ready for a kid right now in any way!

She told me that she is def gonna keep it. I tried to talk to her about an abortion but she said that's out of the question.

Is there anything I can say, in a nice way of course, that would help convince her to see things my way?

thanx

I have been lactose intolerant since I was about 24 years old. Now I am 37 and I 7 months pregnant with my first baby.
I really want to breastfeed for as long as I can but I am concerned I could transmit my lactose intolerance to my baby?

I drink lactose free milk, but I read that I should avoid dairy all together?
How do I avoid transmiting my lactose intolerance to my baby and therefore improving my chances to breastfeed?

My one year old has a runny nose for a couple of days now, and at night she can't breathe through her nose, and she keeps waking up. She's really uncomfortable, and can't get any sleep. I put drops in her nose, but she hates it. And she cries so much afterwards that her nose gets all stuffed up again. How can I help her breathe better at night?

I do. But I l know some parents that just plop them in front of the TV, or buy them a toy and leave them with it, for an hour or 2, or even 3. I also know kids that see there baby sitter more often then there parents! And it's not even because there busy! It's because they go to dinner, dinenr partys, partys, Bars, stuff that couples without children would do! And I am the babysitter! But I have got to know the kids I babysit so well, that it's no bother. And my kids have no problem with it, neither does my husband. But I just can't stand it how a parent would do that to there children. I have a 6 year old and an 8 year old. I always do activities with them, crafts, baking, knitting, coloring, shopping. And so does my husband, so we have great relatonships with our kids. I'm just curious about you people out there? Dad's escpecially, but mothers to. Do you really spend time with your kids? If so what do you do?

I've been trying to hard not to get a cold this winter but I failed... My immune system sucks as it is, and now that I'm pregnant it's even worse... I'm 20 weeks pregnant and really sick. Really stuffed up, sneezing, coughing like crazy, dizzy spells, feeling nauseous. I just want to make sure the baby is okay, I get this a lot I'm used to it... But if it's hurting the baby I'm NOT okay with that. Help?!

NP- nighttime paralysis
Once he gets home from work he sits on the couch and ask me to get him some tea, get this, do that, hand him this, hand him that, let the dogs out/in, watch the baby. I told him last night I wanted him to see a doctor as soon as possible or his condition. He laughed and got the hint .

I am afraid this will damage my daughter's ears. Have you done anything creative to quiet down these toys? The noise doesn't bother me, but my daughter has so many of them, I am afraid of the damage it is causing her ears. I was thinking of putting either cotton or batting on the speaker portion and securely taping it down with packaging tape. That is all I can think of other than taking the toys away...any helpful hints on this?

Should I stay home after the baby is born or work another year or so to pay off debt then stay home?
Together we earn around $75k per year. We have alot of debt (mortgage $1450, credit cards, his car, utilities, etc) plus we don't spend our money very wisely and can't seem to stick to a budget. I'd like to stay home with the baby after it's born, but his employer doesn't offer health insurance, which would mean paying for a "private" health insurance plan for all of us. We got a quote for $1000 per month from Blue Cross for that. What are your thoughts stay home immediately or work to pay off debt and then quit? Please, if your going to be rude, just don't answer. If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say anything at all.

i'm 9 weeks pregnant me and the father aren't togeather. i just told him on christmas eve that i'm pregnant. i would like him to be involved with my pregnancy just as me. i asked him to come with me to my next doctor appointment but he just says he has to work. i asked him if he would like a ultrasound pic and he says that he don't want one. he has a 14 year old daughter with an ex wife and he is more worried on how his 14 year old is gonna react to this. christmas day he called me to see how me and baby are i thought it was sweet and that maybe he was taking some responsibilty. but he don't seem to really wanna get to involved at all. how can i make him realize that it's important before the child is born just as it after the child is here. should i just leave him alone and do this all alone. i'm scared and terrified.

a few months ago, i passed a quite large fleshly like material about 2 inches long while having my period. i am on the pill and didnt think i could have or was pregnant. the fleshly material was a pinkly colour. i went to the hospital and told the doctor what had happened, she ran 3 pregnancy tests on me and said there was no way i could have miscarriaged because my tests were coming up negative and that i was never pregnant. she wasnt very helpful and could not tell me what this fleshly material that i passed was, has this ever happend to anyone else?
